(Give a short story on how you found this Elkrin. Your Story can not exceed over 1000 words but you are allowed to add 1 piece of artwork with it.)

I was trudging through a snow-covered pine forest, high in the mountains. A rune would make my journey sooooo much easier, but I had yet to find a good companion. The wild runes were mostly pretty friendly for wild creatures, but still, I couldn't rely on that. I needed a good traveling companion, and I had my mind set on an Elkrin. Some villagers down the mountain had reported seeing oddly warm and cheering golden flames in their forest, and the occasional antler or tail. It sounded like an Elkrin, and I had set my mind to catching it.
The snow was cold, and the forest was huge. My breath froze in a cloud in front of me. I might be crazy, doing this, but I was pretty desparate by now to get a good traveling companion. I stopped occasionally to listen, and all I heard was the pine needles shifting in the wind, or the occasional bird. I was about to give up and go sliding down a mountain cliff or something, when I felt a warm breeze. I quickly held my breath, and moved slowly forward. A large and majestic Streamflare Elkrin stood in the trees, ears pricked. It must have heard me, because it froze, looked around, and bolted away, leaving a trail of golden flame-like light.
I groaned both on the inside and outside. This was my unlucky day it seemed, I wanted to give up and get to the nearest village and get some hot coffee or tea. However, it seemed that I would be having my lunch here, in the middle of a snowy, glittery pine forest. I sighed, then found myself a fairly dry rock, some tinder and wood, and got to work coaxing a fire from the wood. I took the small amount of food that I had from inside my bag, and went about cooking them. Of course, cooking takes time, and I soon got quite bored. Wait, that's an understament. I was bored out of my mind. Seeking something to do, I took a fallen stick and began to draw the Streamflare Elkrin in the snow. When I finished, I took out my journal, sketched a picture, and began recording my observations. I really liked that Elkrin, that was for sure!
After a while, I noticed a warm breeze ruffling my hair. I looked up, just to come face-to-face with the Streamflare Elkrin. I jumped back in surprise, my eyes wide in shock. The Elkrin stumbled back a few steps, wearing an identical expression. Then, it gave me a Are you crazy? look. We kept making faces at each-other for quite a while, and you definitely don't want me to describe THAT.
After a while the Elkrin snorted, then almost burst out laughing. Well, it was hard to tell, but he looked like he was at least grinning... Then, he poked my pencil, and sat down beside my notebook, turning the pages with his nose. He looked like he was READING my notebook! Well, the world of Eldamore was certainly an intresting one, I'll give you that, these Elkrin were pretty smart. Or the one in front of me was at least.
"You like to read huh?" I murmered as I crouched down beside the stag. It stared at me, then took the pencil in it's mouth and started writing in the snow.
"Hey don't you dare drool on that! It's older than you, you know!" I accually had no idea how old the Elkrin was. I just knew my pencil was pretty old. I have intresting thoughts huh? Anyways, the stag was finished writing in the snow, and looked at me whitish HUGE eyes. The writing said:
Yeah. And write and draw. I don't get many chances to do any of those though..."Well, I can help you with that..." I muttered. The stag pricked his ears, cocked his head, and peered at me hopefully. Then, he used his tail to wipe the writing off the snow, with a few lumps and bumps here and there of course.
"Well, do you have a name?" I asked. I felt a bit silly, yet full of hope. This guy seemed like my kinda guy! The stag wrote in the snow:
Yes, my name is Arun. That's how I think you spell it at leastWell, this may sound kinda cheesy but: From then on out, Arun and I have been together. He's funny, warm-hearted, and brave. I could never ask for a better friend!
