I never would have thought I would make it this far.
…
I was never considered “smart”.
I mean, I am smart, just not the smart others consider to be smart... If that makes any sense.
Math and science were never my forte basically.
...
It was always a dream of mine to go into space.
So many told me I could never do it, and at some point I started to believe them.
But something clicked. I had to prove them wrong. prove to them and prove to myself that could
do something, be something.
I decided there opinions didn't mater, and if this was something I truly wanted, to make this dream a reality, then nothing and no one would stop me.
...
And in the end it all paid off. I made it, I’m here.
I did it.

As a sort of hobby on the side, Soleil often fosters kittens and their mothers from the local animal shelters. Bottle-baby kittens are more likely to be put to sleep than any other animal that comes into a shelter and, as a veterinarian, Soleil can't stand the idea of the innocent kits being killed only because no one else is available to foster them. Her job allows her to keep bottle fed kittens near as well as giving her knowledge on what to do for expecting mothers and their offspring. She finds it a very rewarding thing to do. Every few months, she finds herself at adoption events with the kittens she raised from newborns, giving them off to their new owners. Many would expect this to be a sad experience, and Soleil wouldn't be the first to admit how hard it is sometimes to hand them over to their, hopefully, forever homes. However, once it's all said and done, she finds herself overjoyed to know that the cats she raised now have new owners who'll love them just as much as she did. That's why Soleil is so happy, she's just returned for adopting out her latest litter, and she's looking forward to picture updates and whichever new litter will fall into her life.
