[750/750]
Avilda’s life was tough from the start. Her father was the one who helped her hatch from her egg, and she was told later it was because her mother disappeared. Her father woke up one morning to find her gone, her egg cold, and no trace of where she had gone. Her father raised her the best he could but they were constantly on the move, and she hated it. Her father refused to answer why they were moving and she lost many friends and wished more than anything to just know the truth about things. As she reached a year old she still felt sheltered from the world and it infuriated her. Avilda believed she could handle anything the world could throw at her.
One rainy afternoon, she stormed through the forest. Her and her father had another big fight as tensions rose between them. She laid down on a log after forcing her way through the thick shrubbery. She dozed off, but was awoken by approaching footsteps. A dark blue viscet with strong orange eyes stood before her. He looked intimidating, but his eyes had a look of understanding she couldn’t understand. “Use this well,” he spoke with no explanation. “What-” her vision cut to black before beginning to fade in again. She saw herself in the past. Her view was from a distance and she could tell by looking at ‘her’ paws that she was seeing through the blue viscet’s eyes. She was in his memories. She watched events from her life play through the viscets eyes before it suddenly cut to black again. When her vision returned to the present, the viscet was gone. She took off toward her temporary home. She wanted to use this to find the truth.
Avilda ran toward the den they had been staying in. Her father sat sulking near the back of the cave and hadn’t paid attention to her approach. She stared at him intently, focusing on the questions that crowded her mind through her entire life. ‘Why are we always running?’ ‘Where is my mother?’
Her vision once again faded into a scene in which she saw through her father’s eyes. She saw a viscet in front of her that she knew had to be her mother. Her gaze seemed loving and accepting. She recognized her instantly although she had never seen her before. She tried to force ‘herself’ forward wanting to call to her and finally meet the mother she had longed to have her entire life. Instead, she dove for her with one of the most frightening growls she had heard in her life because it had felt like it came from her own throat. She felt her mother's throat in her jaws. She tried to let her go and get away but she couldn’t. A few moments later a yell sounded behind her and she felt her mother finally drop from her jaws and her view was forced behind her. Viscets stood in the doorway with horrified expressions. They chased her father from the cave and she was forced to follow. Her emotions got so powerful that they snapped her from the vision. When she saw through her own eyes again her father was in panic attempting to comfort her. She quickly stood up and shoved him away. “Get away from me!” She stood to face him. “You killed her! She’s gone because of you and they want you dead!” Her father looked shocked, confused, and even a little scared. “How do you know that? Are they here?” He looked around wildly and bolted. She pursued him for a while before finally letting him go. From then on Avilda had no family.
Avilda traveled for a long time until she came across a large group of viscets in a makeshift camp. When looking into their history, she noticed many of them came from similar places. One stood out to her. She too had only grown up with a father she didn’t get along with. Avilda liked how strong the group appeared, and that traitorous acts weren’t tolerated. She observed until she found a viscet whose memory shocked her. He had killed their previous leader after he had been so close to him. He became the new leader after framing someone for his murder.
Avilda boldly approached the leader when he was alone. “I know you killed him Chrome. You need to listen to me now.”
Chrome's snarl turned to a look of shock. He complied.
