Dance and Why - Namid's favorite dance type, though she likes them all, is Hip hop. She loves the high energy and the amazing routines people can come with. She's a very energetic person so the style fits her very well. She likes the quick movements.
Short story - Christmas time. For most people this means shopping, candy canes, snow, presents, etc. For Namid it's chaotic. Every year the town holds a Christmas concert for everyone, and Namid and her fellow dance team members join it every year. This year she was nominated to make the choreography, she was certainly honored to be picked for the job, but she wanted to have the perfect routine. First she had to pick a song, after many days of searching she found the perfect one. The routine would start out silly, then get serious. Sense there would be kids there they would probably find the start funny. Then for the older such as teens and adults she would add some acrobatics in to catch their attention. After she made the routine and fixed any imperfections she had found, the rest of the team and her would practice every other day leading up to the concert. She made the costumes her self, they were harnesses with sashes to make them look like Santa's reindeer. The sashes were for bling. The night of the concert was hectic to say the least. Everyone getting into costumes and running around setting up the stage. The band and chorus were practicing in the back ground, dancers were stretching, the rest of them were making sure the lights and speakers were working okay. Eventually the curtains were drawn and the first act went on. In the meantime Namid was nervous and excited. She hoped that everyone would like their routine, that she wouldn't mess up, and all would go well. When they went on stage, Namid seemed to have lost any sign of her being nervous backstage and she preformed with a huge smile on her face. She wasn't doing this performance for her own pleasure, sure she was having a lot of fun but this was her gift to everyone in the town. She wanted to make them happy. The crowd cheered and clapped for them at the end, they all took a bow and exited the stage. Afterwards they all had a huge party for all the performers, they had sweets, games and all sorts of fun. It was certainly a night Naimd would never forget. (Word count: 370)
