xxxxxMy life has never been easy. neither has being me. so many ask what it's like
to be me. I tell them, it's hard. It's impossible, even. When they ask me why, I tell them

xxxxxMy parents died when I was just four. I was an orphan. Being raised in an orphanage
isn't anywhere near easy. it sucks. At the age of 18, they couldn't take care of me, since i
was now considered legal. I was dumped on the streets and that was it. i ended up
joining a street gang just to survive. They fed me and gave me shelter. I never wanted
to dirty my hands with the crimes they did, but they said themselves, if I didn't
cooperate, I would be kicked out and left for dead on the streets again. I knew I
would for sure die on the streets, so I had to do what they said. The headmaster of
gang was an ex vigilante. I was never able to figure his reasoning, and could never
figure out the irony behind it all. Who goes from a life of organized crime to just crime?
xxxxxAfter I finally got a job working at a simple fast food
place, I was able to leave the gang and start my own life. I was happy. I was glad to
finally have my life of crime behind me. I was nineteen then. I decided it would
best to try and find a place to live, but living where I did, it was hard.
xxxxxI know what you're thinking. To Odessa, it's all hard.
For me it's always been true. Life's hard. But a very close friend once told me, he said,

That's something I'll never forget. It's something I've kept with me since I heard him
say those words. I broke down into tears and he just held me. We stayed like that for
probably ten minutes until i had cried my heart out, thankful he was in my life.
xxxxxI'm twenty two now. I've got a better job then what I
had at nineteen. I've gotten my two year college degree by now, so I've got an okay
better paying job. It's just computer coding. It's kinda boring to be honest. It's only
JavaScript after all.
xxxxxOther than that, I don't do much, except for make
roadkill jewelery and slave necklaces. I know that sounds weird but slave necklaces
are important to me, as I felt like one when I was in that gang. It's all I was to them
anyway. They took advantage of me, and my kind orphanage ways. I'll never forgive
them for that, but what can I say,
