A young RPW, designated female at birth, was born to an average family. Her name is Penumbra, or Pen. Her parents had thought it was a good idea to name her after something that resembled her. Penumbra has dark patches on her body, like a penumbra eclipse -- which is when the moon is only partially covering the sun. Also, along with eclipses, her red markings on one side and her red eye are almost like a lunar eclipse -- more specifically, a blood moon. And no, the moon is not actually bleeding when this happens! It just appears reddish.

┗-------------------------------------------┛ Penumbra is slightly different than the other children. Most children her age, around 6 years or so, are usually excitable, boisterous, and pretty social. Pen is a bit different. She's quieter. Sure, some kids can be a bit shy when you first meet them, but Penumbra has anxiety. She isn't always the best in social situations. Unlike her peers, Penumbra is slightly mature and has a higher level of thinking -- of course, for her age. Pen is more reserved and independent... ish. She does still rely on her parents at times, but she prefers to be by herself. She is also very curious. Penumbra has taken a liking to reading, usually books that are a grade level or two above her grade. This Paintie proves to be exceedingly intelligent for her age. She is very well at observing things and learning from it. Pen almost tries too hard to please. She often gets sensitive about things and feels the need to attempt to be perfect. Of course, Penumbra is not, as nobody is perfect. She is a bit of a klutz, so usually athletics aren't her thing. Despite this, she tries to focus her skills elsewhere... not always, though. Penumbra tends to get caught up in the moment with her anxiety, so she'll often be a bit emotional. However, Pen does open up a bit when someone takes the time to get to know her. She is very loyal and usually latches on to someone when they become close, although this could prove to be a weakness when ever loosing a friend. She is sweet and innovative -- a true aspiring child who wants to go big.

┗-------------------------------------------┛ The future. A time that can never be stopped and never be accurately predicted. There are so many endless possibilities that could happen in the next day, hour, or even the upcoming minute. In a flash, your life can change. Not to mention, so many other people's lives. One event can release a whole domino effect on other people. If perhaps one event was taken out from history, life would be different. It's my good, old friend... cause and effect. What you do can never be erased. It'll always leave a small stain or polish on the universe's timeline. It's like when you get ketchup, chocolate, or blood stained on your shirt and you let it sit before you clean it. You go to clean it and you find it difficult for it to come out. You manage to get the stain out a bit, but the dim color still is woven in to the fabric of your shirt. It may not be as visible to some, but it's there. Perhaps you could redye your shirt or do some very extensive cleaning on it, but that does not diminish the fact that you stained your shirt. Even the most covered up things are still there. Penumbra will have to go through these changes during her life. She'll discover that she may not feel as feminine as she thinks, as cryptogender is a more suitable name for her gender. You don't know what cryptogender is? It's a slightly unknown gender, but it basically when one's gender is hard to describe and cannot be put into simple words. This will puzzle and stump Penumbra, as she will not be able to discern her own identity. She'll come to the point where she'll feel as if it is a phase in her development, as if it is the cause for masking her gender. With that will come questioning of her sexual orientation, or sexuality. If someone off the street, a complete stranger, asked about it... she'd probably tell you she's straight. With someone who is more close to her, Penumbra might just share that's asexual. In other words, she doesn't necessarily feel sexual attraction. As every being, Penumbra will grow in more ways than one. She'll begin to learn even more about the world and how it all works. She'll have friendships and she'll end friendships. She'll go through a state where she feels secluded and perhaps even a bit depressed, but Penumbra will eventually realize how she is acting and will begin to resolve. She'll grow strong and persevere through all life's challenges as we all do. Only the future will hold our answers.

Hi there. ;v; I'm Snow!, your friendly neighborhood squid. I'm currently an artist, nursery artist, and growth artist for Rainbow Paint Wolves. I'm generally a pretty shy person, but I am friendlier when you get to know me. c: I first want to start off with thanking SoulfireWolf for creating this darling -- I can't blame Soul for wanting to try for her because she's absolutely stunning. <3 I'd also like to thank my dad for letting me listen to his Dark Side of the Moon album that I just so happened to be listening to when I saw this pup and further inspired my form. Also, I'm going to give a special thanks to aviate and daring girlfriend for the encouraging words on the art I made, as well as to Caela who supported and reassured me about this contest. And of course, most importantly, Zuppe, thanks so much for giving me and other users a chance at this girl. <3 It truly means a lot to me. I know you had intended for this to be a simple naming contest, but I knew I had to go a bit bigger if I truly wanted this darling. Still, I wanted to keep my form not that complex and long, so hopefully the quality shows through. I am sorry I could not devote my time to do a lot of art, but the art that I did do, I do hope it reflects Penumbra's personality. Also, I'd like to share my thought process behind this girl. She is a lot like me, in a way. Trust me, I know where I'm coming from with anxiety in social situations because I experience it myself. I do feel as if I could grow with her, if I were to win her, that is. I wanted to give a slight taste of what is to come for her, but still allow new things to fall into place if I were to develop her in the future. I recently came back from my semi-hiatus and I'm now off from school! I should be more active than I was { although I may be a bit busy a few days } and be able to shape her into a unique character. Trust me, if you don't see me uploading a lot of art of her, then there's a good bet I'm drawing her traditionally and not uploading that { I don't usually upload traditional art }. I draw everyday, so I'm sure she'll make her way into my doodles. x)
