- You may adopt up to 5 Starling [number will increase as the species and community population rise]
- Each Starling may breed a total of two times in their lifetime. A Starling can produce anywhere between 5-10 children.

honestly these things breed like rabbits and are probably thought of by some as an infestation of the stars
some refer to them as "star lice" because they feed off of the starlight and are always swarming around them
others probably domesticate them and use them for livestock [not to eat, but as working livestock oof]

I am actually thinking that they born from the stardust instead and that they feed off of starlight
so that is why they are mostly a group animal
because they themselves give off a little bit of starlight, so it is easier for them to survive in a group

they are a prey animal
I have to come up with some space predators now lol
animals that can make themselves mimic the image of stars though
that's good!!
because it would attract the starlings
and then would chomp them if they got close enough

the stardust theory would make more sense too because I am considering doing breedings like "collisions"
so if a Starling hits something else with enough force, it will shed some of it's stardust
and when combined with another starling's run off, it will make anywhere between 5 and 10 babies
[owners get first pic of two each, and the rest go up for adoption by the community]
gonna let probably anywhere between two and five Starlings be the "parents" of one litter cx
so breedings with multiple parents will be guaranteed at least two kids each
and the larger number [up to ten] will be rolled for
it'll go by owners, so even if one owner has more than one starling in the mix, they can only have two from the litter
yeah but breedings are gonna be pretty rare in the species cx
probably gonna require a breeding item or smth idk [NEBULA NEST]

but most of the things you do within the species are going to give rewards
so if you develop your character, you'll get currency
if you do art or writing like that

and I also plan to do lots of mini events
they will develop the plot line
but I plan for Starlings to have like a full on storyline cx

there can be Starling poachers and they can be called Starmongers
The Starmongers are more so after the stars, so they mostly just want the Starlings out of the way since Starlings [eventually] kill stars after adsorbing all of it's light and then moving on to the next one

I might make more permanent mini games but I have yet to decide cx
I probably will just save the other mini games for events since there will be quite a few
I could make a mini game called like Planet Hop or something like that
where you get an rng "die" roll to see how far you hop
and if you land on a gas planet you have to start over
oooo there could be space bingo too! idk how I would theme it but it could work cx
