Wondering how it happened.
Like a rose come to bloom.
Unexpected but beautiful.

Without you the sun seems faded
And the day less cherished.
The wind less harmonious,
The sea less blue.

But with you, the bird song could not be sweeter,
The wine could not be finer,
The sky could not be a more perfect shade of blue.
And these wilting roses could not be more tragic...

A hood over my head as I hid out of sight.
I stayed up, writing you this poem throughout the night.
