Stoney Ridge Feliquids were discovered during an Alaskan expedition. Since then, it has been found that they can be found in most of the upper part of the northern hemisphere including most of Alaska, northern Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Norway< Sweden, and Finland. From October to late February, the creatures migrate towards higher ground to meet in massive communities under the Northern Lights(Aurora Borealis). From November to the end of December, stallions compete to claim mares. It is also the primary breeding season for wild specimens. During these months, captive specimens become extremely restless and stallions become more aggressive as they feel the need to migrate. There is a legend that the flecked roaning(celestial frost) that extends over their toplines is a result of this annual meeting under the northern lights.

Basic;;
Feliquids are built very similarly to stock horses. They are thick-boned, muscular, and hardy examples of the equidae family. They have impressively long, articulated tails covered in fine, silky, hairs. Their tails bear close resemblance to a feline's and are used for communication as well as balance on rocky slopes.
They are commonly between 14 and 16 hands. However, the rare extremes include up to 16.2 hands or as small as 13.2 hands.

Appearance;;
Feliquids express all natural equine coat colors and markings with the exception of coats that are predominantly white(leopard appaloosas, extensive paints, etc) or roan. Mutations such as brindling, bird-catcher spots, grease spots, etc. can occur, but they are rare and will not be passed on to offspring.
All colors of eyes occur in the species except white and black. Red is extremely rare and is usually expressed as a brown or amber color instead.
Feliquids' special marking is called celestial frost or celestial frosting. This is a pattern of roaning(with white and dark flecks) extending from all along the topline and down the equid's sides. Their manes and tails are not affected by this roaning, and are the appropriate color for their coat under the marking.
