[Hyensa]

ABOUT
Mana Geared Hyenas share almost the same anatomy as the ordinary hyenas, however they are born with metal intertwined around their left forearm. The metal contains two gems embedded into it and the Hyenas use it as a controller for their mana/magic. Each hyena contains the magic of one of the four basic elements, fire, water, air and earth. Their left paws contain the ability to use these given powers, which can be very destructive if used for wrong. However, the Hyenas will only use their powers when threatened or when absolutely needed to protect themselves, their family or their species. Any abuse of power is punished by blackening the gems in their metal gear, rendering their powers useless with no chance of re-obtaining them. For those of you wondering, blackening of the gems is performed by severing a small thread like piece of metal that connects the gem to the skin. All of the magic comes from the gem, and the metal connects it to a vein which directs it out of the pores on the paw pads. They may travel in packs or on their own, but they are most often seen on their own, with their mate or by themselves. Their diets consist of 70% meat, 30% greens. A full grown hyena can eat an amazing amount of meat in one sitting.

SIZES & BABY STUFF
As babies, the hyena's are about a size of a football. During their teen stages, they are two and a half feet tall and in their final adult stage they are about four feet tall. Males tend to be quite taller than the females. With the females ranging around three and a half feet on average. Although male newborns tend to be smaller than females for a short time. Babies usually weigh around eight pounds, while the teens weigh around fifty, and the adults soon follow, generally one hundred to one hundred fifty pounds under their belt. It takes a baby hyena usually one month to reach their teens. After they reach their teen stage, it takes one more month to fully reach adulthood. They grow rather fast and are very sturdy animals. In the womb, the hyena matures at an extremely early age and feeds off the mother's offerings as long as possible before the body finally forces it to be born. They stop suckling one month after being born and begin their diet of meat and plants.

COLORS
Colors of the hyena's themselves range from all types, though they are rarely ever bright neon colors. Designs on both sides are almost ALWAYS the same. Their fur color is usually darkened overtime as they get older. Their gems and gears also range from pink to green- whatever you can image! Sometimes, gems are even 2 or more different colors. The species may have up to six different colors and usually no more. The hyenas almost always have either spots or stripes. Each individual may have more or less markings, however there is no case that the hyenas are a solid color.

♤ Do not remove the signature, move it to a more empty spot on the canvas.
♤ We have the right to ban you and take your hyena(s), custom or not, if you violate any of these rules.
♤ Do not take these lines off of Chicken Smoothie, although you may take your design art you commission.
♤ The species is to be returned to Hyensa if the owner no longer desires to run it.

***Rules may change at any time. It is suggested that you check back here at least once every few weeks.

Hyena rules:

♤ You may add items to you hyenas if they didn't come with them.
♤ You may have unlimited regular hyenas-don't hog them though!.
♤ You may have unlimited nursery hyenas.
♤ You can only order two customs- unless one is gifted to you.
♤ Same gender hyenas CAN have babies.
♤ Hyena's can breed again when their baby reaches it's second stage.
♤ If your hyena does not come with wings or horns, etc, you may not add them.
♤ If Re-homing a hyena you have to ask the artists who made it first.
♤ Hyenas drawn in anthro form may have as little or as much hair as you wish.
♤ Before adding items it is ideal to show the artist of the design first.

Guidelines for Artists.

♤ Line edits are allowed.
♤ Any colors can be used.
♤ Please use lock-alpha.
♤ Do not steal other designs from anywhere, or use other CS adopts as references.
♤ Don't make elements. There is only 4 as of now. Water, earth, air and fire.
♤ Mana Geared Hyenas are free adoptions.
♤ PLEASE try and judge on the end day and not a week or 2 after.
♤ You must remove the "adopt me" after you choose a winner from the image and title.
♤ If you become an artist or a guest artist and make yourself a custom but no adopts,
it will be taken away and you'll be banned from the thread/adopts, anything affiliated with MGH.
♤ Do not make events or do anything else that is species without both owner's permission
♤ Every fifty Hyenas, stop making MGHs. Staff will be chosen to make them; or collab to make one.
Forms for hyena's must include:
-Gender
-Name
-Element UNLESS IF CHOSEN ALREADY

[Hyensa]

Hyenas live on earth with the rest of us however they gravitate towards their particular element. Meaning fire type hyenas tend to stay near volcanic areas, air type hyenas tend to stay in the cliffs, water type tend to stay near cold areas or beach areas and earth type will mostly stay in meadows.

Earth type mana geared hyenas spend much of their time within grasses.
They tend to be great tree climbers and are almost always very fast on their feet. Earth hyenas also tend to be slightly bulkier than other hyenas. Due to their different environment, they may often develop leaves or earth-like things from their body. They are the calmest and most docile of the species.

Water type hyenas will stay in areas where there is high moisture content. These areas including places that are very cold or near beaches and rivers. Water type hyenas are mostly very great swimmers and their coats are thick and they are all double coated. These hyena's may develop scales, fins, gills, etc. They do not do very well at all in hot places.

Air type hyenas stay mostly in the mountains and near cliffs. They are the fastest of the elements and are the lightest weight of the hyenas although they have thick pelts to keep themselves warm in the cold altitude. Air type are the best climbers and are excellent jumpers as well. They may also develop wings, and such the like.

Fire type hyenas stay in deserts and near volcanic areas, places with high heat levels. Their coats are usually more coarse and thin, and they can go long periods of time without water. They are the strongest of the hyenas and they are good diggers as well. Their coats are the thinnest of the species. These hyena's may develop fire-like features, such as fire manes and horns, etc. They do not do well in cold weather.
