Once the pet of Anubis, the Egyptian God of the Underworld, He blessed them with the gift of flight and the ability to do as much as the Lord of the Underworld himself coud do.
Though they only bark, they are able to communicate with you telepathically which is rare because they are a big fan of playing charades.
Anubians live for a very long time. One reported Anubian was born in the early 1700s. She was passed down in a loving family for generations and generations, until she became the CB I know and love. <3
- Many Anubian Jackals love smaller sweet fruits like berries and grapes. However, some are known to be carnivorous as well. Though this is rare, it all depends on the diet they are brought up with. If they grow up in a place that has plenty of fruits and vegetables, they will be on their regular diet. If they grow up in a place where such fruits are scarce, then they will adapt to whatever they can find as food which, in this case, would be mice or insects.
Anubian Breeding
- Anubians are very magical creatures and can breed as many times as they like. HOWEVER: The more they breed, the more their power drains. If they breed too many times, the Anubian will get worn out and turn into a regular house dog. No telepathic communication, no wings and ability to fly, no magic whatsoever.
With the help of a potion, Anubians with the same gender will be able to breed. Males are few and far in between so if a male is not present, two females may be able to breed.
FACT:
- Anubian Jackals, even though they are a part of the dog family, they have large lion-like paws and are often very clumsy with them.
To tell the genders apart, the males have bat-like demon wings and the females have feathery angel-like wings.

-DO NOT make any line art changes unless you are given the OK by myself.
-Please do not make Anubians that are based off of cartoon/movie/other characters unless it is for an Event such as the Halloween, Christmas, Valentines, etc Events. Designs for such events must be approved by me.
-DO NOT MOVE/REMOVE MY SIGNATURE!!!
-Artists must come up with a creative name for the Anubian so we can better identify them.
-ARTISTS: You can have up to two Anubians up for adoption at one time.
-You may make ONE rare anubian per month! This includes line edits, no wings, different wings, etc. PM me for details.
-Do not make any changes to your pets after they have been adopted unless someone buys a potion to have a feature on their pet changed.
-If you no longer want to be an artist, please PM me and make sure all Anubians you have created are adopted out.
-JUST REMEMBER: If you are a guest/temporary artist, you will only be making Anubians for a short period of time until we can get back into the swing of things and the original artists have more time to accomplish their tasks.

This thread is going under quick refurbishment. A complete overhaul will be happening some time within the next week or two. The adoption agency will NOT be shutting down. We will remain open for these changes. I am making slight changes to the anubian lines. Nothing drastic, I just need to clean them up a bit and make them more professional looking. When the revamp is done, we will NOT switch your Anubians that you own now to the final lines, unless you bid for a custom spot for the artist that created your Anubian.
