I'm Bringing Evolving Dinosaurs Back from the Dead! It's too neat of an idea to let die. So expect some stuff coming from here soon. I need some artists to help me out, maybe.
I'm looking for ARCHIVISTS.
If you'd like to be an Archivist, please fill out the form. You get a custom just like an artist does, though I'll draw you one if you feel uncomfortable doing it yourself.

-=[How Does it Work?]=-
I wanted to try something fun, an adoptable that is also a sort of game. Here we have 6 "base" dinosaurs (I'll probably make more), with carnivores facing right, and herbivores facing left.
The special thing about these dinos is lineart edits. Each adoptable will have one or two mutations. These mutation edits can be ANYTHING. When I invite artists to make adoptables, they'll get to make their own mutations. If they make something new, I'll add it to the list for that particular dino, and I will randomly generate a percentage chance that that edit can be put on another adoptable of that same species. For instance: I take Herbivore #1, and I give it ridge spikes. That is a new thing for Herbivore #1, so I give it a randomly generated number (68%). Now if me or anyone else wants to add ridge spikes to Herbivore #1, they must first roll and see if that mutation actually happens.
The same happens with breeding, but only the mutations on the particular dinos being bred apply. So, as time goes on, and dinos get bred and mutations are generated these guys will really transform!
Sounds like fun? I think so too!

-=[Artists]=- OPEN / CLOSED
- Guest Artist slots will open when it says "OPEN" here.
- Fill out the form below to apply.
- You must be able to make line art edits to be an Artist for this adoptable.
- You may make up to 3 dinos, of any species, plus 1 for yourself.
- Your Custom Dino is allowed to have 2 Mutations of your choice (you may make them up, or pick them from the list. No need to roll), plus up to 3 more with the roll percentages. Remember not to cheat.
- You have 1 week to make your dinosaurs, and another week to adopt them out.
- Add me (Gelliebeen) to the ColorMeIn.
- Number the adopts going up from the last created Dinosaur.
How to Create a Dinosaur - Each dino may have up to 3 mutations on it (1 you create, and up to two you choose from the Mutation Archive, OR up to 3 from the Archive).
- You may create 1 new mutation on each dinosaur. Even if one species of dinosaur has a particular mutation, but the species you're making doesn't, if you draw it on your dinosaur than you are creating it for that species.
- The other mutations (up to 3 if you don't create a new one) you may choose from the Mutation Archive BEFORE you create your dino. You then take the percentage chances over to the dice roller website below, select 100 from the drop down menu, and 1 and 1 for the next two blank spaces. Then press roll dice for each of your chosen mutations. If the number on the dice roller is higher than the percentage, than your dinosaur does not have that mutation (if the dice rolled lower than the percentage number, than your dinosaur has that mutation). If your dinosaur didn't get that mutation, than it only has 2 mutations, and so on.
- HOWEVER, should you roll between 90 to 100 on the dice roller, that mutation is CARRIED, meaning it can be passed on to that dinosaur's offspring, even if it doesn't show on the parent.
- PLEASE DON'T CHEAT your mutations. If every dinosaur starts ending up with 3 mutations, and all the rare ones than I'm going to get mad and have to change how things work, maybe even stop having guest artists, and probably there will be problems for you as well.
- You may color the mutations however you like to fit your design, they don't have to be the color of the original creation.
- You may also interpret mutations differently than the original creator. They may look different.
Example: You decide to color Herbivore #1. First, you say you want to create a new mutation for it, Sleepy Eyes. Second you look on the Mutation List (under Herbivore 1) and say you also want Back Spines (68%) and Bull Horns (54%). So, you go to the dice roller and roll 2 d100 (2 100 sided dice). The first roll you get 38, which is under 68, so Hurrah your adopt has Back Spines. The second roll however, you got a 96, which is higher than 54. Sad face, no Bull Horns for you adopt. However, since you rolled between 90 and 100, Bull Horns is carried on your adopt, meaning that when it breeds there's a chance (still 54%) that the new Dinosaur will have Bull Horns. SO, your adopt will have Sleepy Eyes and Back Spines, and will carry Bull Horns.Guest Artist Application Form- Code: Select all

-=[Breeding]=- OPEN / CLOSED
- To Breed, post the form.
- Breeding slots are open when it says so here. Do not post the form if slots aren't open.
- Slots are first come, first serve.
- Slots roll over at the start of the month.
- For now, the only artist is me. Once I add more artists you may request which artist you want to do your breeding.
- You may breed two dinosaurs of different species (they must be one male and one female) there will be a 50/50 shot for each egg to be one of the parent's species over the other.
- Not only do colors and designs get bred, but so do mutations. The chance that a particular parent's mutation will get passed on to an egg is listed in the Mutation Archive. Carried mutations aren't seen on the parent dino, but may appear on your new dinosaur.
- If the two parents have that same mutation (ex: they both have Feathered Wings) than the baby has a 100% chance of getting that mutation.
- If the parents both have a mutation that takes up the same space on a dinosaur (ex: two different tail mutations) and both mutations appear (both percentage rolls win), than the one with a higher probability wins out. However, if BOTH mutation rolls are between 1-10, than both mutations show up.
- There are 2-4 Dinosaurs per hatch.
- Each owner may choose one of the Dino to keep, the others go up for adoption. If both dinosaurs are owned by the same person, they still may only choose one new Dinosaur.
- You may only breed the same pair of dinosaurs 3 times.
- A dinosaur may not breed in two consecutive months.

-=[Mutation Archive]=-
Mutation Rules:- A newly created dinosaur may have up to 3 mutations.
- Bred dinosaurs may have as many mutations as their parents combined (but only those mutations)
- Every mutation has a percentage chance of showing up on a dinosaur once it's chosen by the creator (rolled randomly using a dice roller).
- The mutations also have a chance of being carried by the parent dinosaur, rather than shown. The carried mutations may show up on their children.
