We all look up from our nightly ritual of food consumption to see my sharp as a knife father holding an even more broken pepper shaker. My mom gives him the “what have you done” look and he says, “what?! I didn’t touch it, I just used it!” To this day, whenever my padre does anything dumb, usually resulting in something breaking, we say to him, “what, I didn’t touch it, I just used it!”
