Not really! At this point I'm adding in the elemental stuff more as lore and flavor than adoption traits.
I thought I'd try letting people decide what element--if any--their horses are affiliated with, more like a multiple-deity religion for them than elemental classes. A pone trapped might call upon the air spirits to help free themselves, or a pregnant mare might leave offerings at a dark shrine for luck with a safe delivery. There may be horses that act as priests for the different elemental spirits, helping others in their community and advocating the values their chosen element stands for. That kind of thing! It's more for RP/character ideas than anything, and you can choose to ignore it totally if you want and just have a sparklepone. =)
At this point I'm thinking of leaving what magic/spells a pone might be capable of up to the owner too, since it might get reeeeally complicated really quickly to try and figure out different spells and then treat them as breedable traits aaa.
If you meant social classes--I'm not sure how those work yet, or if it'll be a class-based society at all! I'd love to hear opinions on what people would like to see. =)
EDIT TO ADD BRAINSTORMY STUFF: Thinking about having monthly(?) creative prompts, which owners can write stories or draw pictures of their adopt to complete to earn currency which can be spent in a special shop for things like companion animals, breeding items and custom tokens. Very possibly providing npc pones for non-owners so they can participate too. :3
A separate archival thread for tracking each adopt, not just owner (and transfers) but companions, job, etc.
A banking thread where each person gets a personal post, and edits their post to keep track of their currency, items, etc. You'll have to link to forums posts where you were given the currecny or items, if they've been spent or used, all that stuff!
Going back to classes, with thanks to the people who suggested it, I'm thinking about a job system. Napple Valley is not the safest place for pones! Other critters such as dragons very well may prey on them. To combat that there may be a
warrior or
guardian job, and then gosh you'd probably want a
healer job to keep them patched up and take care of the sick. The aforementioned
priests who are dedicated to their chosen element and community might be a thing. Maybe
sorcerers who are strong in various elemental spells? Again this is all for fun so you can ignore it and be a
commoner if you wish!
