Heyy if there are any tech experts around here I could use some help ;-;
I have a Google Pixel 4a that won't turn on. It responds with haptic feedback when I try to scan my fingerprint, but the screen won't light up at all.
It's been like this since I dropped it. In the past (once or twice) I've dropped it and had this problem, except it was fixed by plugging the phone in to charge. It woke up within minutes. But this time it won't.
I've tried the "find my phone" feature. I've tried holding down the power button, and holding down the power + sound down buttons, and I've tried both of those while it's plugged in. My mom tried to call me and it didn't vibrate or anything, but it might be on silent.
I don't know what to do, please help :"")
(might send gifts to people who give helpful advice - no promises though)

Rainy Kitten wrote:ty guys for all the ideas <3 unfortunately I've already tried all those (besides taking it to a repair shop which would likely be the next step) but I'll try them again just to make sure ^^
Wish you luck! 🤞

Update - after massaging/tapping my phone for a little bit (as suggested in a youtube video), I tried holding down the power + sound down button, and it vibrated!! It usually does that when fully power it down, so my theory is that the system still works but the screen is broken :"D
Does anyone have tips for backing up files from a mostly-unresponsive phone?
