Yeah, if you look throught the posts, people are debating things like night terrors, and fruit punch. xD

I have a good debate topic: Wild animals being owned as pets. What do you guys think?
I will soon be merging with Never, so look for me on that account later on. :3

Oh, that's a good one! I think it depends. Obviously keeping a tiger in a 5ftx5ft cage is wrong, but if the person can take care of a wild animal properly so that it lives out a good and healthy life, than I can't see much fault in that. (unless it's an endangered species and you aren't breeding them)

I kept a wild toad for years and he probably lived longer than he would have otherwise. He was missing a leg and when I found him the stump was still bloody and he was hopping along in semi circles next to the road. But I would not do that with... say a rare bird or something that I didn't know how to take care of and didn't need to be taken care of.

xD cool. I think that pets like monkeys aren't like meant to be pets they could go like crazy and like attack or whatever. Not cool. actually it is kinda cool...imagine like a zebra as your pet...but I still say no to monkeys. Also I have a topic I've been wanting to debate if I'm aloud to just like blurt things...i can't read the rules from my stupid new semi smart phone...

If you know enough to always be careful, and are wealthy enough to emulate its natural world, keep all the wild pets you want.

That means more than just fitting their basic needs. Imagine being on house arrest for the rest of your life.

Really the only people who can adequately own wild animals are zookeepers. You need a massive amount of space, food, and decorations (ie, trees and toys) to house a single creature, and you'll never be able to interact with them the way you do your dog or cat. You can do little bits of that if you have one heck of an impressive relationship, but if you get too close you will end up seriously hurt because people just don't speak the body language of animals. It's very, very complex. : / And the animals aren't going to give you the benefit of the doubt if you do something they perceive as threatening.

-All- wild animals have the potential to do this. Every last one. Not just monkeys.

What you may be thinking of is the extreme aggression of monkeys in puberty... I've heard about that. Still, it's not like a lion can't be unpredictable, or a wolf.

Wolves. The most popular animal on the internet. I don't like them like some people do (OMG KAWAII DESU EMO SCENE WOLFS omg!!!). Am I a bad person?

I think having tamed animals is good. Not wild! Wild animals are wild for a reason. Unless they're like, snails, or something. But even then, the snail could DIE.

Wolves are popular, in my opinion, because they were so close to extinction in the wild that environmentalists went insane trying to make people care about them, since more people will donate funds to save an animal that they like, even if others need twice as much protection. : / Don't hate on the wolves, hate on the art. I love wolves to death and think realistic canines with human fashion are ugly. Fantasy-ized animals with clothing and human hair are okay (kitsune with a mohawk? oh yes), but a golden retriever with an emo flop? ewwww

Anyway. I agree that wild animals should stay wild, but good zoos should always exist--they prevent animal species from dying off entirely, which is very very good.

I think it really depends on the type of animal. If it's something smaller and fairly harmless (like small non-venomous snakes, box turtles etc) and are fairly easy to care for, then I don't really see an issue. However, if you want something like a tiger, chimp or even a deer (yes, deer can be very dangerous, especially during breeding season. Does may be an exception, but bucks are a definite no-no especially since people tend to assume they're harmless and let their guard down), you need to be either a zoo-keeper or own/work at a wildlife rescue/rehabilitation center. I don't see why it should be okay to endanger yourself and your neighbors just because you want to own a wild animal. :P

I don't hate wolves. Just the "ZOMG WOLVES NEVAR EVAR HAV KILLD PPL BCUZ THEY SOOO GOOD".
Yeah, I can see the first part.
But wolves are less rare than certain types of fish. And bears. I mean, you're more likely to get mauled by wolves than a bear.
I agree with you saying that realistic canines + emo hair & clothes = ugly. I agree, but it's better than neon headache-giving pink wolves with bright green hair. :P I make no sense
