YOUR QUESTION:
Ammonia can also be synthesized by the reaction:
3H2(g)+N2(g)→2NH3(g)
What is the theoretical yield of ammonia, in kilograms, that we can synthesize from 5.54 kg of H2 and 32.2 kg of N2?
I am not even sure how to tackle this question since our teacher hasn't taught us how to do these questions, yet homework is done on Sunday night.

Yes the limiting reactant would be the smallest which is your answer since that's how much you can make of the product. Well both problems end with the solution being NH3 so there is your amount of product. Then you decide out of the two the smallest number. In this problem's case you answer is 27.5 kg of NH3 because you can't make anymore than that.
Sorry if I couldn't explain well but good luck <3

Part B
0.390 mol of octane is allowed to react with 0.810 mol of oxygen. Which is the limiting reactant?
Why wouldn't it be octane? I thought it would be octane because it has less moles that oxygen and in the equation, you need less octane to react that oxygen.

YOUR QUESTION:
Okay, for my English class, I'm supposed to write a children's story book on the colonization of the Igbo people. One problem: I can't find one definite answer from any sources, not even Wikipedia. It seems that no one quite knows. It's starting to really frustrate me, and I was wondering if anyone could direct me to some good sources for this kind of subject? Thank you!
