I'm thinking about being cliché. Somebody kick some sense into me.

I am seriously considering talking to Retro about getting out of the friend zone. I mean, it would be so cliché, but there are the positives. I could not be specific with who it is, I could even use the name Retro (I just use his real name when we're together).

While I know this is something that works in movies, or fails horrendously in movies, has anyone been successful with this method? Do you know any other ways to get out of the friend zone?

And I don't even know if I'm really in the friend zone or not - I mean, he could be hiding his feelings, but being the unconfident girl that is me I don't believe it's possible.

I'm rambling, but would really appreciate help.

Well, I was in the same situation. And the guy I liked at the time..let's call him Buggy..he was hiding his feelings. Of course, I didn't think he liked me at all. I wouldn't recommend doing what I did to get Buggy to ask me out (I dated his best friend ).
So I do think you should talk to Retro about it. Like maybe encourage him to ask out whoever it is that he likes? Or yeah, you could talk about getting out of the friend zone. You guys are friends, and maybe he's hiding his feelings because he doesn't want to ruin your friendship. Maybe he doesn't think you like him. I think you should go for it.

I think he likes me. He constantly rings me and texts me and facebooks me. . . and i completely do not like him like that at all.

I was over hi house today and there were a load of people there for his sisters party. We were sitting by ourselves just chatting and everytime someone passed we got a 'Who's your girlfriend?' and funny looks.

He's really nice and fun to talk to but the thought of him like that makes me cringe big time.

Any advice on how to tell him nicely that im not interested?

Well, he's never dated before, which I think is the main problem. And I've never really taken an vocal interest in his 'love life' before, so wouldn't it be a bit weird to him for me to suddenly be all 'hey, is there anyone you like? you should ask them out!'

Plus, I'm sort of his best friend, apart from the... mean people who used to be my friends too. So it wouldn't work for me anyways.

Okay, I kinda like this other guy besides M. He's super cute and extremely sweet and he really doesn't care if I know he has a major crush on me. But I texted him yesterday after I saw him ride by on his bike, and he replied, "What do you want?" I think he's mad at me or in a bad mood or something. I don't think I've done anything to cause that, but he wouldn't reply when I asked him. :S

Boys say that girls are hard to understand, but, really, they're just as hard to understand as girls. Why must I fall for guys that make no sense? I swear that M likes me but he goes off and dates another girl, he doesn't get ANY of my hints, we hang out a lot and he's always talking to me yet his friend, K (Who may or may not have a crush on me and be jealous of me liking M, since I told K I liked him) says that he doesn't like me as anything more than a good friend. Not to be cocky or anything, but I honestly don't believe him.

Why must boys be so complicated?

I forgot to mention this in my last post.
I was alone with M's little brother, who I'll call A, for around ten minutes. A while ago, I was at the pool when M and A show up. I noticed A kept staring at me with a look on his face that seemed like he wanted to talk to me. That was when I first thought he liked me. Then, today when we were alone, I took pictures of him in the air, jumping off a swing. When he came to look at the pictures, he stood really close to me. Like, so close that it was obvious his shoulder against my back (well, his chest against my back, since he's taller.) That went on for every picture, which was around ten times. Then, he said in a joking tone that we should go make out. Even though he made it sound like he was joking, I got the feeling he was serious. We didn't, though, since I wasn't sure I wanted to.

However, I think I might like A a little bit. I'm not sure though, because I might be attracted to him since he's M's brother. If I realize I do like him, then it'll only be a physical attraction. His looks aren't bad, but I'm not really sure I like his personality.

Then there's M's friend, T. T and M are also B's friends. I think I like T. As I think I mentioned before, I've been attracted to T the second I saw him. The first time we met, my friend stole my backpack and he helped me get it back even though I had never seen him before. I thought be was cute, and he was also really sweet. He's actually a lot like B without the bad family part. Then today, when he showed up and saved me from being alone with A, it seemed like he was trying to show off sometimes. Also, he has girlfriend. I was disappointed to hear that, but then he said that it's hard to make it work since she lives 15 miles away. At least I have a small chance. I wouldn't try to break them up though. Two months ago, when they had been dating for five months, T told his girlfriend he loves her. Like I said, I have a small chance and only if they break up.

So I used to like M but I think I might like him again, maybe his friend, T, in love with their friend, B, and a possible physical attraction for M's little brother, A, who is also good friend's with T and B. Life's confusing...

I'd have to say no. My friends don't date much, and when they do the guys are more like friends to me than anything. There was once in camp, I wouldn't call him my boyfriend though, that a friend in my cabin liked the guy I was 'dating'. It was short lasting though.

Nope. Best friend's never gone out with anyone I know, other nearly best friends haven't gone out with anyone in awhile. All the guys at my school are jerks, act like pre-schoolers, or already have girlfriends. The only freind's ex I can think of off the top of my head turned out to be a stoner, and sort of a man-w****. 'Player' isn't an extreme enough word. He's gone out with most of the girls in our grade, and now we all know he's a jerk.
