The Hyperfixations Thread

okay so i have a lot, but let me at least start with my two special interests: warrior cats and cowboys. warrior cats has been my special interest since 2015, and has sparked some of my greatest characters and stories. cowboys is a recently new special interest for me that started as a hyperfixation, but has evolved into like. my way of life basically LOL.

next theres the hyperfixations, usually my hyperfixations revolve around a certain topic and branch off into like-- mini fixations? like for example one of my hyperfixations right now is greek mythology, as a result of studying greek myth for my helpol journey. that fixation has also sparked a fixation on epic the musical, and a new fixation on this game called immortals: fenyx rising.

some of my other hyperfixations that are like this include:
cookie run (ovenbreak, kingdom, towers of adventure, witches castle)
comics (marvel, dc, x-men)
pvp games (overwatch, rivals, fortnite)
red dead redemption (revolver, one, and two all included)
and chickensmoothie, lol

Oh man this is a loaded question and I am HERE FOR IT.

1. Rocks. I love rocks. They're so cool.

2. Genetics. I love pigmentation, I love mutations, I love weird traits.

3. Model Horses.

4. My cat, she is the best cat, there is no other cat who can be as cool as my cat.

5. Service dog vests. I'm gonna make my dog a new one soon. I'm excited (I have a Signal Dog, aka a Deaf Alert Dog.)

6. Mechanical keyboards.

7. Pianos.

8. Headbands. Probably my cheapest hyperfixation....

9. Signed books. I recently got a John Green book. I'm very chuffed about this. I also have Tom Kirkbride and Rod Espinosa and Cinda Williams Chima and Alan Gratz and probably some others.

10. Peg Solitaire.

hi guys I'm here to talk about vampires again (and I've been eating WELL since my last vampire post lmao)

obviously nosferatu was huge for me!! i love silent film, so it was a real treat (dr. caligari is my all-time fav, but I did love the og nosferatu). I also got to see john carpenter's vampires quite recently which was a goofy watch, and I am so stoked to see sinners! it actually came out on my birthday, but I wasn't able to see it last week. fingers crossed for this weekend, though! from the trailer's I've seen, they've also done one of my favorite vampire things, which is giving them a tapetum lucidum. of the vampire shows/movies I've seen, midnight mass is the only other one to have done it and i really prefer it to glowing eyes/funky irises/black scelra/etc.

also of course the new ghost album drops tonight!! which on top of being one of my other common hyperfixes, is also vampire-themed lol

pretty clean from severe hyperfixation rn but escaped recently from ultrakill (...maybe not entirely...) and slipping in and out of various music fixations. been swapping between listening to acucrack's the mawn reproduction nonstop and going crazy about the band vampire rodents. how it feels to have awesome music taste
