hey! i haven't posted here (or been on cs) in a really long time, so i thought i'd introduce myself (again?)

i'm sarah, and this is thumper! he's an (estimated) 8 year old border collie x retriever, he's an assistance dog and has been working + saving my life for years.

gosh your dog is so beautiful! i really love the contrast against the orange patches/leash and his black fur c:
do you have an instagram for your pup?

thank you! i think orange really is his color. he does have an instagram! it's @thumper.dee

yep! in australia they're referred to as assistance dogs, they're the same as service dogs, just a different term. i wish you lots of luck with getting your dog! <3

Most of my teachers single me out and ignore me or put me in the back of my classes just because they don't like my dog. Justin has never done anything wrong, he's very focused and always on his best behavior. I had this problem at the last school I went to a few months ago. Kids were afraid of him because he's a GSD mix.
I can't say anything at my new school though, nobody will believe me.

all i could think of would be to arrange a meeting with your principal, organise all of the laws around service dogs and discrimination against them, record any of the incidents at school, how the discrimination is affecting you, etc. maybe if they realize how serious it is and how it's affecting you they will work with you to fix it.

when we face discrimination here, we have the human rights commission where we can make a complaint, and they help us resolve the issues and come to an agreement. i'm not sure if the US (assuming you are there) has something similar, but you could look into it if you can't find an agreement at all.

Does anyone know of a no-chew spray that actually works? Tried a Bitter Cherry one by a brand that we really like for other products, but my dog is just licking it off of the objects XD

I made a carrot cake for Pepper's b-day once and he got one and a half slices. Another time he got a meatloaf cake.

Pepper has a bit of a sensitive stomach, and had diarrhea, but I'm guessing it would happen to any dog, so it should be just a tiny bit.

Nope, never went over the top for a dog birthday. Not me 😂

We definitely did for Kes’ third, custom cake for the two birthday girls, and entirely too many presents.

Oh same 😂

Thor and Lilly watch the new person come in and don’t bark until the person is already inside. 😂
