Okay warning: don't read this if you don't wanna hear sad things

Ughhhh. I keep losing barbs to bacterial infection on their eyes, and I can't even identify it. I'm really upset. Tank is being medicated with a bunch of different things as of last night, so whatever it is it's probably covered now, I just hope they'll get better before I lose more of my irreplaceable tiger barbs, like my half-stripe and the one with a horizontal stripe down her side (probably a scar or something but still really cool).
After this horrible plague goes away I'm gonna have to buy more barbs to get the population back up...
I cried over it, had a funeral for every fish I lost... lmao. I lost my most colorful male tiger barb, pretty upset about it. I'm probably gonna lose my only half-stripe female tiger soon, that's gonna be even more upsetting because she's the only one I've ever seen missing a stripe on one side like that. :/
Ugh. I'm kind of regretting my blood parrot cichlids now... they really put the "blood" in "blood parrots"........
My boyfriend is really annoyed by how upset I am over my fish. He doesn't really care for fish that much and he thinks I'm being silly. So. Our relationship has really taken a massive hit over my tank's ich-breakout/massacre.
Fingers crossed my catfish at the very least will be okay. I don't even care if he's covered in scars and ripped fins when this is over, he's not a living decoration, he's my pet. He could be the ugliest thing ever and I'd still love him. He's a real trooper, he's survived so many awful things. Like once when I was years younger, I thought he was dead, back when he was the only fish in my tank, so I drained the tank halfway and turned off the filter. Left it like that until I discovered he was still alive months later, and I freaked out and went out to buy a new filter and etc for the tank haha. He was totally fine.
So. I've lost half my tiger barbs to some weird infection on their eyes, and half of the remaining survivors got it like overnight. My African featherfin catfish and all 4 of my panda barbs are like, completely covered with ich. The corydoras seem to be fine but I can't get a good look at 'em. The plecos are acting pretty weird. The only ones that are okay are my black ruby barbs (somehow all 6 of them are PERFECTLY FINE?? Black ruby barb master race, I guess) and my blood parrot cichlids (the evil creatures that brought this horrific plague to my tank)...
Pray for my babies. Please. They're gonna need it.

And, off topic- on top of all this going on with my fish, I also lost my first tarantula (he refused to eat for almost 2 years, suffered from malnutrition and passed recently), and the stray cat I feed, Lucifer, somehow broke or dislocated his leg, so I had to betray the trust I've built up over two years, to catch him and cage him so he wouldn't walk and mess it up anymore, 'cause he was dragging his leg. I have to miss school tomorrow to take him to the vet, and take out some loans to pay for his bills. At least he's finally going to be fixed and get all his shots, though. Poor baby.
Geez. Someone call karma and ask what the heck I did to deserve all of this. I mean I'd rather have her take it out on me and not my pets, what a coward she must be that she has to have all of my pets suffer over something I must have done.

So I found that one weirly acting otto dead today... :\ It might have died some time yesterday already, but I haven't been feeling too well myself so haven't paid so much attention to the fish. All other ottos seemed to be okay(or at least the 3 I saw) and I stuck some zucchini for them.
Can we pretend that the airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?

Lost 2 more tiger barbs. One large female has been hanging in there longer than the 2 that died, but I don't think she'll make it. She looks pretty bad. My catfish is in hiding so I can't see how he's doing. The black ruby barbs are actually spawning and I'm laughing so hard, like the entire tank is practically a giant watery grave and here the black rubies are trying to make babies.
It's too good, lmao. But on a more serious note, I have no idea how I'm gonna replenish the tiger barb population when the tank is better, I'm $300 in debt from my cat's vet bills.

Off topic: the cat w/ the leg problem, he dislocated the leg and messed up the ball joint. Cost us $300 already to get fixed and all his shots and x-rays. My mom won't lend me money or pay for it to get fixed because it'll cost $500, so he's going to have to drag his leg around for the rest of his life. :/

its a female veiled from the looks. most fish sold as "baby" bettas at petco are just younger females(though some people strike it rich and get male halfmoons or doubletails). its always so hard to tell with Cambodians(white bettas with colored fins) because the juvenile female stripes are not identifiable on them.

I just recently inherited my cousin's I THINK comet goldfish, they have the more fluffier tail I think, sorry if I sound retarded, never had a fish before. but I was wondering if there was any other fish that I could put in a tank with them ? I really want maybe fancy or a faintail goldfish to put with them, but I'm not sure if that'd be okay. I'm going to get a new bigger tank, right now I have the one she was keeping the three little comet goldfish in, a Tetra LED 3G half moon. - how many gallons do you suggest I get for them ?

on another question, I have a smaller comet ? or a common goldfish ? what would happen if I put him in the tank with the other 3 bigger ones ?

also, is there an algae type of fish I could get for their tank ? or do I not need one ?

You shouldn't put a "normal" goldfish with any type of "fancy" goldfish.
To put this really simply: fancy goldfish are disabled, and normal goldfish are not. The normal goldfish will pick on the fancies until they get injured, and ultimately, die.

You can probably put them all together as long as they have enough space. As long as none are fancies, you should be good. Goldfish get huge, like 1 to 2 feet at adult size. But depending on their current size, you could probably get a 30 or 40 gallon and be fine for a while.

And for algae, you don't really need anything because algae isn't a real problem normally, but you could get a pair of mystery snails or rabbit snails. They come in different colors, and are really cute. (I don't advise plecos for goldfish tanks, plecos need heat, goldfish do not. I've also heard horror stories about plecos sucking on the slime coat of the goldfish.)
If you're interested in rabbit snails, there are other people in the thread that keep those, and they're super cute, but I myself only have two mystery snails, and no experience with rabbit snails. I feed my mystery snails the same algae wafers I feed my plecos, once or twice a week. But I also have a large 55g tank, and keep the light on as long as I'm awake, which is around 18+ hours, so there is a fair amount of algae for them to eat between feedings.
