'Ello there! ♥ I'm Scourge, as you can tell by now - and trying for Khione here! Well, you see, the reason as to why I'm trying out is pretty complicated, so I'll explain that in further sections. But, to sum it all up - she's my dream JMD, to be blunt & honest. Anywho, I currently own numerous JMDs, winning them in order - Charlottana, Kiku, Dianne - that'd make three o' them! I've been around JMDs ever since they opened, although I waited for the perfect one - and then I won Charlotte. Shortly after, I won my other two. Moving on, you should expect me to go on the fanclub if I happened to win this girl, roleplay her with Charlie, draw her, make a character page, etc. I promise to be active with her, draw her, and more importantly, love her forever.

Nope! Lyra is a beautiful and elegant name that by pronounciation, fits this JMD very well. Calliope? Why I could never choose a better and more unique name. It's just PERFECT. The more I say it, the more I love it. Lyra Calliope Jenkins. Just so elegant and graceful sounding--I just ADORE it.

➳Why you want him/her~
Really, you even ask? Lyra looks gorgeous: those royal and elegant pink swirls, so graceful on her fur with those unique exotic-looking items....and that bright flamingo pink jewel! Her markings are just so fitting!! I knew this was y dream JMD the moment I saw her. Words cannot possibly explain how much it would mean o me if Ai won this JMD. Two words: SIMPLY PERFECT. She was the main JMD that jumped out at me and said "Pick me! Pick me!Love me please!"

Of course! No doubt! That is, if making art, role playing, writing stories, making an even prettier form, ordering art, putting her in my siggy, finding relationships for her.......et cetera (that list can go on forever) doesnt seem like giving her a good home to you! Now I have a life too....out of CS....and now that school has started, Im a little busy. But I promise, VOW to take good care of Lyra Calliope Jenkins.

➳Name Pronunciation~
LIE-rah Cah-LIE-ah-pee JEHN-kinsz

➳Name Meaning~
Lyra- means "lyre", Greek origin.
Calliope- means "beautiful voice", also Greek origin.
Jenkins- a version of Jenkins, which is a version of the name "John" meaning "God as gifted me with a son". From many origins but in this case, is British.
Although like 2/3 of Lyra's name is Greek, Lyra is NOT Greek. Lyra is pure British Scottish.

➳Name Reason~
Well, I realize there really was no name choice, but I think this name, Lyra Calliope Jenkins, fits this JMD extremely well. First of all, the name Lyra is just gorgeous and sounds as elegant and graceful as this JMD seems like. It sounds so....peaceful sort of....so calming......to make it simple, I just ADORE this name and it fits really well. Second of all, I swear that if I were to name a baby girl, then I would definitely name her Calliope. I have never really thought of that name for a girl before, but now that I realize that it's an actual NAME, then I think Calliope would be a PHENOMENAL name for a young lady like Lyra here. The surname Jenkins? I don't know about you, but it sounds like a perfect match for both the names "Lyra" AND "Calliope". Overall, the name Lyra Calliope Jenkins sounds simply, serene and beautiful to me.

➳Nickname~
Lyra doesn't like nicknames....or well, any nicknames that HER name can create. Really, "Ly"/"Lie" and "Ra" are like her only choices and she doesn't like either of them. Though if you're REALLY close to her, then LyLy (LIE-lie) is acceptable.

➳Gender~
Seriously? Lyra is 100% definitely female. Girl, sis, gal, woman, female.....whatever.........exactly!

Lyra is straight or in other words, heterosexual. She will not and has never been interested in the female gender. She likes girls for FRIENDS, plain friends, but that's IT. ➳Personality~
Alright, I think it would be best to put this in a big section because it's very difficult to explain Lyra's personality "trait by trait". This way would be best to explain what Lyra is like. So please bear with me.

At first, Lyra may seem.....naive sort of "ish". She's really shy and doesn't say her opinions very much. She simply goes with whatever the others say. Most don't see anything amazing in her. Lyra's just the quiet, sensitive, naive, "going with the flow" type of girl that no one really pays too much attention to, mainly because they think she doesn't trust them, which isn't wrong....nor right. You see, Lyra is very shy at first and don't get me wrong, that is correct. But it's what is going on in her mind the whole time. When meeting someone new, a hundred questions invade her mind: Who is she? Why is she doing that? What is she doing? Is she trust-able? What is happening?. The poor little lady is just nervous out of her fur about meeting somebody new,
If you know Lyra, then you would know that even though she seems quite and solitary at first, she eventually warms up to you and STAYS that way. If you had to ask me the best trait of Lyra's, then I would say loyalty. Loyalty is everything to Lyra. To gain someone's trust, you have to be loyal. To continue a friendship, you have to be loyal. To become best of friends....you have to be loyal. At first, Lyra is just testing people, to see who will stay loyal to HER (which by the way, is not many people. Not many can stand waiting for Lyra to accept them). If they are loyal to HER, then Lyra will be loyal as well. Not only does Lyra value loyalty in others, Lyra values the loyalty in herself as well. Lyra would risk her life for a very trusting and loyal friend.

➳History~
Lyra is British or to be even more specific, Scottish. Both of her parents are Scottish, so she and her sister are indeed Scottish as well. Lyra was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and she can tell you, it is GORGEOUS there. The castles, large buildings, landscape......all put together! Even her house looked so....I cant say beautiful like the wide white mansions and tall Seattle buildings, but so......organized and pretty in a different way! All of it is just so breathtaking....from the large fountain across the street and her house, to those exotic religious looking little (and big) buildings, to even just those lush green meadows or moss covered rocks! It just all fits together so perfectly.
Lyra came to the USA when she was around.....9 or 10 and lived at Portland Maine. Let me tell you, Lyra didn't enjoy it very well at first. Why? Well because Lyra was once afraid of water and if you have ever been to Maine, then you would know that the city of Portland is almost SURROUNDED with the ocean. There not pats docked everywhere and fishermen fishing every morning. Lyra wasn't happy at first but she was plenty glad that they didn't move to Venice, Italian which would have been MUCH more worse.
Eventually, Lyra did start getting "the hang of the merengue". She wasn't so afraid of the water anymore and had made plenty of friends (well a few is a lot for Lyra since she is so shy). Just as she was getting used to the water being there everyday and everything was going fine, a huge storm hit. Most fishing boats were washed away. It was chaos; trees were blown away and trash can lids flew around the town, seperated from the bottom part of the trash can. Lyra's dad saw his fishing boat, Soaring Illusion starting to float away...
"NO! That's--That's my boat! No it can't--" Lyra's dad started.
The clouds swirled with rage and it started to thunder and rain. Lyra's dad sprinted out of the door and to the dock. He tried to dock his boat and tie it tightly to the dock. But just as the ship was securely docked, a gigantic wave billowed over Lyra's dad. The wave crashed onto the dock, and the last glimpse of Lyra's dad ever seen by his daughter ever again was his face, striken with fear and in a moment, sank under the ocean.....
And never came up.....
For a moment, no one spoke or did anything in the house......silent tears started to roll down Lyra and her mothers cheek while her 2 year old little sister started yelling "Daddy? Daddy?! Where's Daddy? Mommy where's Daddy?". That night, Lyra and her mother sat in vigilance for Lyra's father. He was a brave and loyal man known by everyone living near the dock in Portland. EVERYONE missed his existence.
Lyra had her father die right in front of her eyes when she was only 13. Her sister? Even worse, at age 2. But Lyra had ever thought that she'd face another difficult "challenge" as well.
A month after Lyra's father died,her mother brought her and her sister to Louisville, Colorado where Lyra's aunt Sammie from her mother's side provided shelter and care for the three homeless ladies in a big two story house. The three mother daughter trio was helpless without Lyra's father and they admitted. Lyra's mother never bothered to remarry because she didnt want anyone replacing her deceased husband.
At age 15, Lyra's mother was on the way to the grocery market, bringing her now 15 year old and 4 year old daughter along with her. By now, nobody was to bring up the topic of Lyra's father. The three ladies finished shopping and while during checkout, Lyra walked up to her mom from just being at the candy section.
"ok Lyra, come, take your sister and we'll be going now,"Lyra's mother told her older daughter.
Lyra made a puzzled and fearful look. "Um, mom? Lily (her sister) isn't with me." they looked all over the supermarket until they saw her.....
It seemed like all of it happened in slow motion. A drunk driver in a big driver was driving recklessly and ran right over a shocked and afraid little girl. The girl was hit backwards and laid their on the road. That girl was Lily.
"LIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Lyra's mother shrieked and ran out the door, leaving Lyra frozen in fear and shock. It couldn't have been true.....it couldn't......Lyra kept telling herself but as much as she wanted to say that, the floppy once cheerful little girl laid on the road, still and unmoving.
The even sadder part was, no one helped or stopped to help get some help. No one cared. No one stopped to say even something like "Oh, oh.....Im sorry". Nobody, NOBODY at ALL, was concerned.
Lyra sulked for maybe.....5 months. For both her sister and her father. But she knew, that no matter what, both her young sister and her goofy father wanted was the same thing: for Lyra to love her life happily and normally, to pretend as if nothing happened, to stay happy and healthy, to protect her mother, and no matter what.....
To stay loyal to what you have and what you have to do.
