---------------------------------------------What are Nanshan Qilin?
Nanshan Qilin are a mythical breed of pseudo-horse, similar to the western unicorn or the Japanese kirin. First found in the Nanshan Mountains in Shenzhen, these horse-like creatures are a sight to behold. They are never found outside of their native mountain range, though researchers have begun to explore deeper into their territories, hoping to find out more about this elusive beast, and perhaps to tame them.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and guess that first post doesn’t have to reply to much? Either way, glad to see a fan club for these guys and an artists’ comp. I’m looking forwards to seeing the results of the MYO comp too!

If you entered the MYO comp, what was your inspiration for your MYO?
My last myo was based off of a specific scene from Rapunzel the animated series, the others weren't really based off of anything ^-^

What traits/colors do you like to see on equine species?
I love so many colours but I'm a sucker for something a little unique

What drew you to the Nanshan species?
The lines! Fell in love with them the moment I saw them haha

If you entered the MYO comp, what was your inspiration for your MYO? I wanted to make mine off of my fave coat colors: blue taffy and roan!

What traits/colors do you like to see on equine species? Some of these unique genes artists have come up with have blown me away! Like Kintsugi markings, skeletal frame overo, and all the chromatic overlays. Wow!

What drew you to the Nanshan species? I liked the thought of a dragon-ish horse set in Japan. It's like I get my own Studio Ghibli horses! I can't wait to write about my NQs!

I might be a little confused, but how would having only the phenotype work for breeding? Would there be carried genes?

The system would be reworked to work solely off of percentages and artist discretion pass rates.
