I'm resisting the urge to take notes on what you all say about literate posts. ^^ I have a couple questions, too, if anyone would like to answer:
First, how long does it usually take to write a really beefy response? I usually find it takes two to five minutes for mine, but they can be a bit weak.
Second, how would you respond when your character is alone somewhere with no way to get to other characters? Do you wait, or post about thoughts/feeling/etc.?

For your first answer....it doesn't take me more than thirty minutes to write up to about 2000 words, but the descriptiveness can be lame :P

For second......I usually figure some way to the other characters or have the character try to get out of the solitary spot :P

--My advice isn't 5-star or anything though :P

Toppy: i'm sorry, didn't much follow that xD Why would it be frustrating for lit roleplayers?

Well, I agree with Toppy because Fae, most people who roleplay in warriors, even those who say the roleplay is semi-lit, they just end up doing two lines or soemthign with endless babble or just saying something like this:

Talonstar sat watching his clan.

or

Jaypaw layed down in the middle of camp bored.

Plus everyone knows their not going to post alot so they end up have seven cats to write. I've been in that sitchuation alot of times before and I just end up quiting.

I've noticed that most warriors roleplayers don't type very much, but I know a few people who can write a pretty good paragraph or two. I get carried away in the length of my posts, though. . . I usually aim for 600-1,000+ words; sometimes 2,000 if I'm having a good day and/or have plenty to reply to. I'm currently in one warriors roleplay, but that's only because the plot is interesting and I have a few good friends in it that write more than a sentence or two. I've lost interest in the books, though, and also hope that the fad passes soon. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find a decent animal roleplay these days.

Speaking of good lit roleplayers...I had a good RPing friend named Polardream, if anyone's ever heard of her. Her posts just blew me away. XD She was great, and the person that helped aid me up to the point of being a semi-lit. Sadly, CS become hard for her to get on and she quit. I do look up to her, though, and aim to RP like her someday. XD

That's how my friend FoxyYuki is. She's not from this site, but her posts are amazing and she understands that the roleplay belongs to both of us. We both throw in as many plot twists as we see fit and, not surprisingly, we've kept the same onexone going for nearly 2 years

*Waltzes in* Well now, I couldn't help but notice your character page with many lovely canine characters. Within the next week I plan to start a Semi-Literate to Literate Canine Character/Fursona Pack Role Play on the Animal Role Play Forum. Right now I'm only collecting usernames of those interested in joining since I'll be making the role play private once it is created.

Basically the setup is as a realistic wolf pack but with user's role playing their oddly colored or sometimes naturally colored Characters/fursonas. I've added a plot of strange happenings blamed upon the pack territory located within a "haunted" mountain valley and a scenic New Zealand setting to give the role play a bit of an edge. You can find more information about it here.

Whether or not you join, I would love input and critique on how you think I could better the role play. I'm flexible, if I get enough complaints from those who are joining or have reviewed my webpage that certain aspects need to be changed, I'll change them. Role plays are really for the role players, I'd like to make it as enjoyable as possible .The setting and the plot are subject to change if others deem it necessary.

Kite I'd be interested in joining. My main question is since you said fursonas and charactors, I ahven't really established a fursona. So could i just use wolves that I have made up? You could say that I have my main charactors, but do you already have to have your charactors made or can you make them from scratch? Sorry if I confused you, but when people say fursonas/charactors, I instantly think something thats been made up for awhile and has some meaning or soemthing, nothing that can just be made from scratch and copyed form roleplay to roleplay.

Sample of writing:
Downcast and forlorn, Darius dragged his feet along the street. The newly paved road stretched into the desert dusk for God knows how long. No cars were in sight, only the distant calls of unidentifiable animal echoed in the serene darkness.

Hours. Hours he had been walking. No shelter was to be found. No protection from the moon's harsh rays. Tonight, the runaway would transform. Transform into the thing he despised the most, what was the bane of his existence, his chain to life. The wolf inside him was spurred on, encouraged even by the moonlight to take him over, to release the savage so deeply buried.
He winced at the moonlight. Why? Why him? Why anyone? "Why, why, why, why, why!?" he screamed into the empty silence.

The moon stared smugly at the suffering boy as his screams became growls. A giant wolf now stood in his place, letting loose a heartbreaking howl. The dusty gray wolf sprinted into the lonely dessert, and wouldn't turn back to pursue the road until dawn reached out to touch the world.

Just sorta off the top of my head, not very good, I know. The Character is the guy I use, Darius Reed.
