Prismacolor has ruined all other brands of coloured pencils for me. You can feel the difference when your drawing! They are just so smooth I have been colouring more than I normally do...

XD I've been thinking about getting some more colored pencils. May get Prismacolor because of this.

Prismacolor are fairly expensive, averaging out about a dollar a pencil unless you get on of the giant sets. I would recommend Faber Castell. They are still pricey, but no where near as bad. It's the petroleum in the pencils that make them so. Crayola, RoseArt, and cheaper pencils are mainly wax. Petroleum blends insanely well so you are able to get lots of values.

I was forced by my teacher to go buy some nice pencils. They were $25 dollars and I didn't eat for a week. T-T

Do you mean the contest I was thinking about having?
If everyone else doesn't think it's too late then yes, I will make plans for the contest. It will hopefully start tonight or tomorrow!

If we do hold an art contest I need volunteers to judge (only people who do not wish to enter) and someone to donate pets/their own art for the reward(s). Please PM me if you can help!
If no one volunteers for either by tomorrow I don't think we will be able to have an Easter contest, though.

I just don't feel like my art is good enough to even be considered art anymore, just smudges. Until I figure out what's holding me back, I'll have to just stop art on here and broadcasting it, I suppose.

I'm sorry you feel that way. 3:
I know how you feel, I've felt like that many times before. I can guarantee you that your art is not just smudges. And even if it was, that isn't bad. It's just abstract art - which is very popular. Anything is art, really.
Don't give up. Art should be something you enjoy doing. Even if you don't like the finished product, if you have fun making it that's all that counts.
If you need to just take a break from art for a while. But I don't think you should give up. And you don't have to leave, this thread is for all people who love art. People who love making art, whether they are "good" or not, and people who enjoy looking at other artist's art. But I understand you're decision. <3 C:
