What you currently do:
Swim team, I have a big meet coming up this weekend.
I'll be participating in IM, 600 Freestlye, 600 Backstroke,
and a 500 breastroke. And at the end for fun were doing a 200 MR.
Surfing! Two weekends ago I had a competition and did
pretty good. The current boards I have right now are:
sevent foot foamy, 6'6 soft top, 6'2 hard board, 6'4
hard board, and a fish board.
What you have done:
Paddle boarding, snorkeling, surfing, swimming,
and water polo,
What you want to do:
I really want to take a diving class to learn the flips
of the diving boards
What got you into it:
I live 2 minutes away from the beach, and have
always loved the water. I started out just surfing,
but then my friend got me into swimming.
Advice you'd give to people interested in the same sport(s):
Surfing is super fun. It's a sport where you
always have to be open to new ideas and
new ways of riding a wave/catching a
wave/getting over waves. The most important
thing to remember when surfing, is that
if you wipe out, get right back on, don't let it bother you.
Swimming is a great sport and requires lots of exercise.
You will be sore every day, and you will feel like you
want to quit, but don't. It's so rewarding, and is just super fun.
Favorite parts:
I love when I catch my first wave in a competition.
I also love when I take a dive in a meet.
Least favorite parts:
Getting water up your nose during a meet.
Having your fin jab you in the leg when you wipe out.
What do you want to discuss the most on this thread? What interests you best?:
Anything really, I would love to hear from people who take diving classes.
