Just designed this fella. X] He's supposed to be a dalmation/German Shepherd cross, or something like that. XD I dunno really, it's just something I came up with at 1:30 AM. I'm really not thinking straight as tired as I am, so tomorrow after getting some sleep, I'll look him over some more and decide whether I like him or not, and whether to sell him, donate him, or keep him. I would think so, yes. It's a registered character in a game, similar to how Mario or Mickey Mouse would be.

Actually, despite the game and everything, Slenderman CANNOT be copyright. He's been around for a while now, and was created as a joke. He's an idea that everyone can have their own view on. The game can copyright their view on him, but they cannot copyright the entire idea itself.
Therefore you can make a character of him if you wish, with your own elements or more towards the original, it doesn't matter, as the entire concept is pretty much public domain owo

this is what I read up on it;

I previously wrote: The "idea" or "concept" of slenderman has been around for a very long time, but would not be copyrightable in any case. Copyright only protects a specific "expression" of an idea, not the idea itself. For instance, "Romeo and Juliet" contains ideas found in "West Side Story", which is certainly not public domain (it is still copyrighted) although based upon a public domain text and non-copyrightable ideas.

I don't think that he's copyrighted.
He was created in a forum, where people just photoshopped some images to make them creepy, and then everybody started to make these slenderman pictures.
And there are tons of different games, all made by different people (there's the original one, the slenderman's shadow ones, Slender's Woods, diverse slenderman mods for minecraft and other games...)
For me it seems like everybody can use that idea of a slenderman.

Maybe you can also change the character a bit, for example use no tentacles, a suit in a different color, add some other stuff etc.
