In a game with less than 2000 players, the odds that so many of the players would turn out to be murderers is obsurd. What makes it even worse is that that arc is the entire basis for the GGO arc. Then there's the matter of the characters. In the beginning of the series, Kirito, Klein, and Asuna were all pretty solid characters with notable flaws. Asuna was anti-social, Klein was fairly insecure, and Kirito was still pretty bad at interacting with others. But as the series progressed, they all became more and more cliché. Asuna was now a perfect waifu type, Klein was the cool, humorous guy, and Kirito was just... Well I think we all know what Kirito became. The picture definition of a Gary-Stu. The series had plenty of potential. It just failed to fulfill it. Sorry to sound like a bummer, but dang.
i defiantly agree with you dude
SAO was great at first, but then it just went south and to me,
became an unlikeable series
Quoting Gigguk in a Podtaku,
"Take a completely mediocre anime, like say, Naruto, it's just above that,"
Personally,
The only reason I stayed around for SAO
was because of the fact that I adored the action and loved the animation
