Ah-haha-ha, I love my mom.
Okay, so my brother and I are always complaining about how our mom gets us clothing as a present every Christmas (well, mock-complaining, since the clothes she gets are usually something we do need, even if it isn't all that fun.) To nobody's surprise, this morning we both had presents that were obviously articles of clothing. When I opened mine, guess what I found? A scarf. A ridiculously long, strangely familiar striped scarf with an officially licensed DW tag.
I had shamelessly dropped at least a couple not-so-subtle hints that I'd love some more Doctor Who merch, so I suppose this was her idea of a joke because she knows perfectly well that I am neither interested in cosplaying nor wearing scarves for practical purposes. Umm, I specifically demanded asked politely for DVDs, Mom. You weren't listening. xD It's a really nice, well-made scarf, though, so I'm hoping to find an opportunity to wear it outside without looking like a complete nerd. (Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but I think I'd feel kinda self-conscious wearing this thing just 'cause. And especially when it's 70 degrees Fahrenheit on Christmas Day, end of December, beginning of winter, I really don't need the extra warmth at the moment, lol.)
