;.; ngl I thought we had another week then I did a double take at the calendar. My bad, writers.
I mean… you could always give us another week. I certainly wouldn’t complain lol
The rest of this message is something I had in my drafts for months (since September) apparently and never published since I was so busy with school. 😅
Very belatedly, I just want to say thank you to Kite for such a fun round and for all of your hard work! I really enjoyed trying to tackle the romantacy prompt in a different way than I may have otherwise have tackled it! Once more, I curse word limits because there was so much I had to cut out and put in my notes app on my phone because I didn’t want to just delete it lol

Thank you so very much! This is such a sweet comment! I don’t typically do star-crossed for my comfort ship, so this was a really fun new thing to try and experiment with. I wanted the story to seem Romeo & Juliet-esque, but also… not. I’ll be honest, I don’t do tragic endings… ever. At least not when it comes to romances. I like happy endings, so they will definitely get one. Whether it’s a life away from their coven and pack (respectively), creating their own sort of pack that’s just them and their kids, or living with one side of the family. I had drafted a couple different versions for the end. One included a flash forward to the future where the kids rush to wake them up to let them know that grandma and grandpa had come to visit.
Anyway, for you and anyone else who might be interested in seeing a full version of this story, I actually have been working on a full-length, special limited edition author’s cut of the story. 🤣 In other words, a version with no word limits and I make it a whole story. So there’s more opportunity to see the two of them interact, fall in love, provide more lore, world building, provide a definitive ending, etc. I’ll be uploading it to my TH when it’s done, but I’ll definitely let people know here when that happens (if that’s okay with Kite and if anyone
actually wants that) lol
Also, fun fact for everyone: I actually
really wanted to draw art of the scene where Amanda Lynn is just clinging to Theodore/Toothless’s leg as a bat while he’s a wolf. Just them looking at each other. It’s burned in my mind and I’m going to draw it at some point 😂
@ChristainAnimalLover ~ Congratulations bestie!!!! I’m so happy for you! I really loved the way you approached the prompt you chose! I especially loved how you described the sheer amount of exhaustion the main character experienced after all his numerous attempts at the simulator!
