I've got quite a few different things to share here today so I'mma label 'em to make things less messy lmao
Introductions
Meet my newest kid on the block, Kendall! He was traded to me by Snowflakette (ilu) and I absolutely adore him.
Kendall is a charming and outgoing Irishman - traits which have followed him into undeath. Kendall died back in 1994 and is still bound to the town he died in. He has fully embraced undeath, having mastered the skill of disappearing/reappearing to mortals and often pretends to be living. Appearing just as bright and alive as any other mortal, Kendall can effortlessly go out and mingle around town, joking about how he's actually a ghost and will come back to haunt his newfound buddies as soon as they split up and head home for the night. Of course, nobody actually picks up on the fact that he's dead serious (no pun intended). However, life after death has its restrictions - he can eat and drink, but not enjoy the flavours of his meals. He can walk and run, but never feel the wind on his skin. Mortals can be rather boring as well - what fun is there in never having to sleep if you don't have anyone to stay awake 24/7 with? Truthfully, Kendall longs for death. Actual, legit, permanent death. Being immortal is cool and all, but sometimes he just desperately wishes he could taste his food again. (What do hamburgers even taste like today?) However, much to Kendall's amusement, he recently received a new friend, delivered straight to his door. Nefertiti Meryamun - a mortal from the city, moving into his pre-death apartment, unknowingly signing up for a slightly unusual roommate. Surprisingly, this one didn't laugh with him at his "I'm a ghost" joke and seems to see right through his act. With his newfound friend and roommate, the two of them venture out into the great wide yonder to uncover the town's mysterious history and follow the ley lines in an attempt to find the truth about the rapid occurrence of ghosts in their town - and to put restless spirits (such as himself) to rest. Perhaps undeath isn't all that bad after all - maybe he'll stay even if they do find a way to soothe the undead spirits. One thing is certain either way - with Nefertiti by his side (or rather, him at Nefertiti's side as the comic relief sidekick) they make one heck of a team. Forward, to adventure - buddy cop style!
