What do you look for in characters, do some bright colors look good on characters?

I look for a lot of different things in characters. For one thing, I prefer they be a blank slate, so I may do their personality, story, art, etc... however I like. I also prefer that I am able to resell them if I please. This isn't a requirement for me of course (haha, I would miss out on a lot of characters if it was) but I just like to have that freedom. Now onto design elements. Blues are somethings I am always interested in. Especially if mixed with white and grays. I'm a sucker for winter themed characters, antlers, chibi wings, auras, heterochromic eyes, and cute fluff!

Absolutely. If done correctly, I think that brighter colors can look great on a character! However, it is a matter of personal opinion. If its neon, I think that's taking it a bit too far, but that's just me :3

What do you look for in characters, do some bright colors look good on characters?
I really like when characters seem super unique. So natural markings aren't usually my thing. I like a lot of depth in the character. If I can see a story right there when I see it, I know I want it. The design has to be clean and repeatable for me, as I like to draw them.
Cyberpunk, steampunk, or futuristic type characters are something that I really enjoy. But they have to be done very well and can't look too typical
So I guess uniqueness is something I am drawn to
And big or long ears, love it <333

As for bright colors, they for sure can look good. It does all depend. There are some bright colored characters that I love and own, and some that I don't prefer. Even if I don't prefer them, I can usually appreciate them
