SPEAKING OF LOKHEED!!! my devil's apprentice finally had her first child and he's more beautiful than I could have possibly imagined. I knew he would be amazing, but... wow.

His name is Jonathan and his tail is Crow. He's a little... not alright. Very unstable baby who is convinced the world is out to get him. Take his parents for example — they are very loving and raised him with care and warmth yet he's grown up being wary of them. He has delusions that they're very destructive and unsupportive of him. Crow doesn't really make things easy by speaking terrible lies in his ear constantly. Though instead of being afraid and hiding from everything, Jonathan is a very confident and very snarky viscet. He thoroughly lives by "anything you can do I can do better; anything you can do I can do best" even if it's not always true lmao.

Crow on the other hand is actually very dangerous. He's very malicious and very controlling — he wants all of Jon's attention at all times no matter what.

Alright just a couple more announcements and then I'll be done.. heh. I've recently been given two new positions within this species, and I couldn't be happier. Not only am I an archivist, but I'm also a trial nursery artist and a moderator! I'm seriously so stoked about this, it's not even funny. I so badly just wanted to be involved in a species and a community that I love and consider family, and now here I am. I'll try my best to be the best I can for the community, and as I always say... Alll right so it took me a super long time to realize this but today is the anniversary of the day I was hired as an artist ^u^ I was reminded of this after seeing that it is Razors viscets, Snatch, birthday, which was also the first viscet I made as an official artist X'D Sooo... here it is! Now now before ya'll get all confused and upset, be sure that you read what I wrote on it to understand why I chose that design X'D You will also have a chance to add some markings to it in the competition as well to help spice em up ^u^

Post without replies, I'm looking for someone to make my custom for me- just some quick notes, it'll be hard, cause this custom is my viscet fursona ;w;
I'll likely need a reference drawn off the official lines at some point as well if someone wants to message me about commissioning a ref sheet, because they'll make her tail drapes fall oddly.
I've been trying to figure out markings for her but it's so difficult because the color palette I want, so I'm going to be leaving the markings to the artist to help with.
Im looking for an icy winter beach theme, snow and ice and pretty much the arctic!

She's also gonna have some kinda tricky items/mutations (A necklace that I wear irl, a laurel wreath, and a braided bun hairstyle. Aaaand lastly there's some horns ) If anyone thinks they can pull it off please pm me. I won't be rude, just kind of difficult because I need her to be specific in a few ways ;w; I'm willing to trade art for this but we can work that out in pm.

If you could pick one Viscet to make real, which would it be?
Nephthys ;u; She was my first and I think of her as somewhat of a child <3 I love her so much and I love her personality. If there was any viscet I would make real, it'd be her <3

If you could become one of your viscets, who would it be? (You'd be thrown into their world, not ours!)
Ohhh that's a hard one!! Either Mindu (and Stitchling kinda I guess?) because she has such a wonderful and loving family and I think she's so full of fun and has so many wonderful friends and family that she's just so surrounded by love it'd be hard not to pick her. Or Temperance, because she's absolutely spoiled rotten with regards to being a domestic viscet, though she has recently gotten herself a little crush going on between her and my Brax too. OR Harlequin Opal, because she has devoted herself to her partner and loves her so dearly that she abandoned homeworld at Emerald's request and together Harlequin feels she'd never need anything else. The love that they have is so sweet and so loving and they'd do anything for each other, and it'd be so sweet.

If your viscets were real, who would you get along with best?
Probably Taube. She's sweet and friendly and a little shy but still outgoing enough to always say hello to everyone. She's adorable and proud, and I think we'd get along great :3 Though I'd probably just wanna hug her as soon as I see her and never let go xD

If your viscets were real, who would you get along with least?
Probably Isila or Brennen. Or Argent.
With Isila... She's... Complicated. She's fair in her treatment of others, but is very traditional in her ways of doing things. Meeting with her, as the head of her pack, you must bring a gift as an offering and sign of peace, for example. There are many rules that she adheres to, and expects others to as well. In making her character, she acts somewhat like a fae creature. She adheres to her rules very strictly, and in doing you a favor, you are then in debt to her for it as well. She's one of my most dangerous viscets because of that, so it'd be very unnerving to be around her for a long set of time, even if I could follow all her unspoken rules.
Brennen is just very stubborn, even worse than I am! So I don't think we'd get along for that reason. He's very nice too, he has very good morals, but man, he can be stubborn.
Argent... well, I'd know he's not really as friendly as he tries to seem. And if he knew that I knew that, well he wouldn't like that much. Long story short, he's not a very nice viscet, and is very manipulative. I wouldn't like to be around him and I think we'd probably butt heads a lot ^^"

Would any of your viscets attempt to kill you, if they met you?
Very much depends. Argent, if he knew I knew his personality was a facade, maybe.
Isila if I broke a big enough rule or became a threat to her or her pack, but that's very unlikely.
Harlequin Opal if she was still in the gem army, but now? Nah.
Brax...might? He's hard to deal with though in general.

Have you ever created a story for a viscet (Whether you own it or not) that made you emotional? (Whether it was happy or sad.) And why!
Writing Harlequin Opal's story really hit me since it has a happy ending. It really made me happy writing it since I could give Harlequin and Emerald a satisfying end together, where they both live on Earth together and even have this little garden in the back yard and a pond with little fish in it too. They just have such a sweet domestic life together after they turned away from homeworld and it's really sweet. It makes me happy :3
Nephthys' story has to be mentioned too, but that's more than anything because of how proud I am of myself for pushing myself to make an animatic and all those gifs and everything I did for it in terms of worldbuilding and such. That was what really got me into adoptables in the first place and it was the first form I really went all out on and tried my hardest. It still makes me proud to see it. It's emotional to me, but because of how much effort I put into it.

What is your viscet with the most tragic story?
Most tragic... Probably Neph. Torn away from her home at a young age and having to basically raise herself, then thinking she found a mate that she truly loves and whom truly loves her only to find out he was using her all along for her territory and to have a winged heir. Then meeting another viscet after trying to keep her guard up in the form of Tyramet, who actually respects her and who she respects as well, enough so that they have two hatchlings together, only to find out that he was withholding who he actually was from her. Seeing this as a repeat of what happened with Argent, she confronts Tyr about this and things have been rather tense between them from that.
Not so much tragic as it is just... It's hard for her to catch a break sometimes, and sometimes that's because of her nature. She is proud and strong, but in the same vein, she's caring and motherly. She trusted Argent and got hurt, and now though Tyr didn't lie to her like Argent did and it's not the same thing as what happened between her and Argent, she can't shake that feeling that it will end the same way. She's had to work and strive to never falter in order to keep her reign over the territory she has and she has struggled to build it to what it is now. She is my most hardworking viscet.
Also I don't tend to actually give my viscets too tragic of backstories, so this is actually the one that would most be considered tragic too.

who is your most well-developed viscet?
Neph, hands down. Both by virtue of being the one I've owned the longest, and so has had more time with me to be developed, and also because I kinda went overboard thinking about her for the contest and afterwards, so she has a lot more development than anyone else because of it. Close second to her though is both Argent and Taube, even though I don't have much written down for them, they still are two viscets that I've given a lot of thought to because of their role in Neph's life.

which viscet of yours do you enjoy the story and development of most?
Oh gosh I don't know if I can answer that, I love all of them so much and I love all their stories so dang much. Honestly, working on each of them is always a joy and developing them is something I try to make unique and strong for each of them. I really don't think I can pick a favorite.

who do you look up to and strive to be when it comes to viscet owners?
Aaaa, there's a whole list tbh ;u; A lot of the staff members, tbh, like Griff or Howling or Silver or Mint Chip, cause they always seem to love their viscets so much, and they've all been so sweet to the community and I want to be someone like that too. <3

what is your favorite art piece that any of your viscets have?
Probably this one, by my good buddy thewibbler on tumblr ;u; Because dang, its everything I could have ever wanted <3

I've got them written down....somewhere. Usually it either will influence the character or the story in some way, since relationships will almost always play a huge part in someone's life, for better or worse.

I've been thinking maybe Brennen travels with a companion animal, but I haven't decided yet. As of right now though, no.

how many of your viscets live like a feral 'cet? how many live as pets? civilized, etc.?
MOST of my viscets are feral, for example, Neph and everyone involved with her I consider feral.
Temperance is a domestic, having an owner and living in a house and etc, she's I think my only domestic though.
Harlequin Opal, Emerald, and Mindu/Stitchling are all civilized. Harlequin Opal and Emerald live in a house which they build and do domestic things, since they're somewhat like Crystal Gems. Mindu/Stitchling is civilized because of how she lives with her family, having a corn field and doing domestic things like that as well.
But every other viscet I have is considered feral or wild.

which of your viscets has your favorite color palette?
Neph has my fave natural palette <3 Which is what made me first fall in love with her. Taube and Argent are a close second though, cause I LOVE greyscale.

For unnatural color palettes, Mindu/Stitchling actually has my fave <3

how do you feel about having viscet characters having non-viscet friends and companions?
That's fine with me! Especially if it plays into their story in some way :3

do any of your viscets have magic? if so, do tell!
Étoile has dream magic and is basically a manifestation of that dream magic as well. He can visit others dreams and influence it and such.
Brennen's armor is magical, used a ward against spirits and....honestly as a nice bonus it just keeps him nice and warm too. It has a fire burning within the armor that will never be extinguished.

do any of your viscets use weapons other than tooth and claw and/or magic?
Harlequin Opal has armor along her tail that is probably spiked or at least just heavily reinforced, that she'll use to deal more damage in a tail swing.
Emerald also has something....but I haven't figured her armor/weapon out yet :3

would you like any of your viscets to have a long line of visclings? how would you feel about a whole family tree spawning from one of your cets?
Harlequin Opal and Emerald would both love to one day have little gems running around, but that's an impossibility for them.
Other than that, no :3

Temperance has a favorite bed that she will insist never gets replaced. It looks like grass and is made of very soft fabric. It's very squishy and soft and the perfect size for a viscet. It's kinda like an oversized beanbag though, honestly.

how do you feel on non-canon family relationships in viscets?
Like ooc breedings? I'm fine with 'em. I prefer in character for my viscets, but I'm fine with ooc too.

do you enjoy co-owning? what are your personal pros and cons?
I have nothing against it.
Pros:
-Twice the headcanons
-Twice the fun
-Twice the characterization
Cons:
-Can get messy in a disagreement
-Like what if there's a custody battle? That can also be messy
-Sometimes one person can want one thing for the character, and the other person can want something else and someone's gonna have to compromise

I prefer names that mean something, either a name that has meaning in mythology (Nephthys, Vice/Virtue, etc), or names that have meaning in another language (Brennen, Mindu, etc), or even names that just have personal meaning to that character and their story, (Temperance).

So far none of my viscets have accessories on them, but I have been considering trying to add some to a few. I don't really mind either way how they're adopted out though :3

Hey guys, just popping in to say goodbye. All Viscets that I didn't have much of a connection to have been gifted away and I wanted to say thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you guys for showing me kindness and compassion for the year or so I was part of this community. I know it wasn't easy, and you guys taught me so many things when I messed, either through positive or negative ways. This community was the first real adoptable community I had ever joined and you guys accepted me with open arms and open hearts. I have made some lasting friends in this community, and have seen so many people smile and be happy.

Thank you for everything. Thank you for the good times. Thank you for the bad times. Thank you all for being here, and being so kind to one another. The world could always use more heroes. Heroes like you guys and what you do. Stay golden, everybody, and don't you let anyone get you down. You guys always have a knack for remembering that there is someone, a living breathing person behind the screen. You all take care of one another. Be kind to each other, and remember.
