The Good news: We got comp 5 prompts and prizes for everyone to view! The bad news: I don't want to open the competition until the CS Halloween Event starts ^^; I want to add banner pets to the prize pool. Sorry for the wait, but ya gotta admit I am giving everyone plenty of time to prep lol.

Thanks so much for running these competitions, Kite! So happy you enjoyed my little western—it was a lot of fun to write, but kept getting longer than I expected! I'm really excited for the new competition cropping up for fall season c: I think I'll challenge myself to write a spooky story! Tried to write one last year and gave up, so we'll see how it goes, lol. Horror is not my strong suit.

Btw, I really loved reading over everyone else's entries. Taffy's story explaining why the saloon was such a mess was so fun! Loved the way ChristianAnimalLover's story drew me in at the start starting in medias res, also loved that the characters are "beans," as someone who's only heard that as a term of endearment before, it was so cute and amusing. honeybucnhesofoats's story was so poignant and sweet <3 And I really want to know what the fallout was in Rabbitheart's story! You wrote a good star-crossed lovers set up </3

Great job everybody! Writing is hard work; everyone did wonderfully. Can't wait to read the submissions for the next comp c:

Daybreak, I didn't even think about the fact that 'bean' is used an endearing term! In my case, it's a nickname for their closed species - Jellybean Dragon. I'll make sure to note that in the future.. But I suppose it does still work as both XD I'm glad you enjoyed it in any case ^^

I can't wait to sit down and properly read and comment on all the entries myself!! <3

Honestly the variety of prompts are lifesaving for me: I start thinking about characters I own that I could fit into them and go from there c:

We just got a donation from a kind user! Now there is an extra pet for the prize pool and more c$ for first place next comp ^^ I am so stoked! I bet the CS Halloween event is soon which means competition 5 will be starting soon!!
