Can't believe it's already over!
I still have a few of PMs I need to reply to, but I will finish all of those today. \o/

Didn’t go trick-or-treating myself this year, but thought I’d share some art I made for some of the treats!

Honestly had a great time with LOLO this year!
Thanks to everyone who put effort into organizing this event<3
You shift your body anxiously as you wait for the door to open, hoping that the spooky sounds you hear are a manufactured effect to add to the creepy ambiance. How did you not notice how dark this house was, besides the candlelight burning brightly on the edge of the porch? Now that you're close, the all too real spiderwebs and moldy scent of decay make you think it might be best to turn back and go on to the next house. Just as you lift your paw, though, everything shifts, and you fall crashing through the porch.
When you right your bearings you are in a stone hallway with drippy walls and some strange runes painted all over. You're not sure what they look like, but it seems... squiggly. "Hello?" you call, before offering a trembling, "Trick-or-treat?"
Those must have been the magic words because a dog in armor appears as if from nowhere. The hall is all of a sudden adequately lit by candles, throwing the wall art into high relief. "Who dares trespass on the domain of Noodles, a disciple of the Squiddy Overlords?" The dog stomps and crosses their paws, waiting, but before you can figure out some answer, they seem to really look at you for the first time.
"Oh no, I've forgotten again! With an outfit like that, it must be Halloween. That explains why you're the fourth pet to fall in here this evening." You stare at Noodles, unwilling to ask what happened to the first three trespassers. "Well, the squiddy overlords do like their candy, so you had better take your treat and skedaddle before they notice it's gone. Ever since that business with the Internet outage, I haven't been able to satiate their appetites!"
A deep groaning sound emanates from somewhere deeper down the hallway, and you quickly take Noodles' offering. "Just gotta hit the back arrow!" Noodles exclaims, and before you can say "clippy" you're out on the street, (hopefully) ready to take on the next house.

Sorry I haven't had much time to participate in LOLO myself this year, I've just had a lot going on irl this month and had my hands full with that, so I never got a chance to turn my lights on. I'll see if I can for a bit on Halloween though at least. I'm really happy to see how much everyone has been enjoying LOLO this year! We def have a lot more players than has been normal so its been a bit hectic, but its been really great seeing all the positivity here and there really haven't been any major issues! So I just want to thank everyone for that <3
I usually try and ask everyone what they've thought for LOLO in the last week or so, so this is my annual invitation for you let me know how your experience was. -snip-

I think the idea of two stories is nice, but I do find it was kind of confusing and I know I personally wouldn't be able to keep a track of who have visited with which story which is why I only accepted two visits total. It was also a bit difficult to understand who accepted revisits, and if they counted revisits per story or per user, so I think for next time it would be nice if that could be clarified/more specific :)
BlueEyedKite wrote:I had no experience with 2nd trick or treaters or revisits so no input there. It did look confusing and maybe next year there can be a place on the list to show if a player has 1 or 2 trick or treaters? That way players know, at a glance, a 2nd trick or treater was approved by staff and also they can expect a revisit from that player. If I did take more than one story I'd have 2 places to mark if a user saw me once or twice. If I saw on the list they had more than one I would make room in my spreadsheet from the get go! Less confusion when you know it's coming.
