Lights On Lights Off Fanclub

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't had much time to participate in LOLO myself this year, I've just had a lot going on irl this month and had my hands full with that, so I never got a chance to turn my lights on. I'll see if I can for a bit on Halloween though at least. I'm really happy to see how much everyone has been enjoying LOLO this year! We def have a lot more players than has been normal so its been a bit hectic, but its been really great seeing all the positivity here and there really haven't been any major issues! So I just want to thank everyone for that <3

I usually try and ask everyone what they've thought for LOLO in the last week or so, so this is my annual invitation for you let me know how your experience was. -snip-

I didn't really see any difference with two stories instead of one. I had my lights on 75% of October (minus a few days here and there for health reasons) and only had maybe 2 people visit me with both their stories. Even though I had two stories, I didn't send out the second story at all. Personally, I think it would have been a bit of a pain for me to try and send out a second round of PMs with my other story. I do wish I'd had more people visit me with their second story though. I love seeing everyone's creative sides with the amazing costumes and stories. It's one of the reasons I play LOLO. And I love hearing from other players that they enjoyed my dressup, story, greeter or treat. I had 2 players fully role-play an in-depth response to my greeter, both of which made my night. There were 297 players this year and I had 148 of them (about 50%) visit me.

Sadly, it happens every year that a few people send me their PM immediately after I send them mine, come and get their treats from me, but never respond to my pm. It's disappointing, but I don't let it spoil the fun of LOLO.

This has been my first year playing LOLO and I've honestly had far more fun than I expected. I struggle to finish what I start when it comes to writing, so having a short concise prompt really helped me to get my butt into gear and see it through. And I've loved every single person who took the time to write out a response, you've made myself (And Maxis ;]) feel so welcome this year. I'm considering writing two stories next year, but it might be a little too much for me to maintain..? We'll see!

Please remember that now that LOLO is over;

- You should not send or receive any further trick or treat PMs.
- If you do receive any it is fine to ignore it or kindly remind the other person that LOLO is over now.
- You should still respond to trick or treat PMs you got before rollover, generally speaking we suggest responding within a week.
- Since we are often asked this, if you have any treats you have sent that have not been accepted yet, you are allowed to cancel them if you wish, again we usually suggest giving people at least a week to accept them but its totally up to you.
- I encourage bookmarking the fanclub if you want to be alerted when LOLO starts again next year, as the main thread thread is sometimes auto-deleted.

And as always the LOLO team is still available if you have any questions or concerns ^^

All PMs have been replied to, and I'm done for the year! Hooray! I had fun, but I'm always kind of glad when it's over too, you know? Still waiting on a few more replies to my messages. We'll see how many respond. I did send a bunch kind of last minute, and while I know people are still SUPPOSED to reply, I haven't had a great response rate with last minute PMs in the past. But that's okay. We'll see what happens!

I don't know how I felt about the two story thing. Honestly, it didn't really affect me much, because I didn't allow any revisits and I didn't have a second story myself. I do feel like it made it a bit more confusing to figure out who allowed revisits, but for the most part it made no difference in how I played.

I feel like I had good luck this year with treats. I don't think I got ANY tricks, which never happens! I didn't visit as many people as some years, so that could be a factor. Still, I was pleasantly surprised!

Funny enough, I did have two people who I sent tricks to for various reasons. Both of them ended up sending ME treats back, even though I didn't visit them. I think they didn't bother reading my "trick" response and thought I was trick-or-treating. Oops! lol

was definitely fun while it lasted!! i got a little distracted over time looking for halloween pets because of my goal being how it is lol but i had a really good time! will be joining next year before the halloween event too! i think i'll be dropping out after halloween hits each year though. it's difficult for me to be on top of lolo AND halloween hunting at the same time! plus with work and everything. but happy halloween everyone!
