We are getting quite close to adopt #100 :D
I want to do something more unique with it, but would like some input before designing.
question: what would you like to see for Fable #100?
A complex design? Classic mythical creature or something new? A high-effort competition, or something else?
Anyone is welcome to share their thoughts.

As always I love reading through these and seeing the worldbuilding and art! I have added an section to the front page of the fanclub to show off some of these lovely works that I hope to update every so often. I added a few art pieces from the last few pages to begin; if anyone does not want their art to be displayed, just let me know.

Since my last post I have a new fable to introduce - Chione is the first offspring within my herd, daughter of my Kleio and Kite's Cian. I'm still working on her personality and details, but hope to eventually share artwork of the shenanigans she and her twin Caturix get up to.

I've been convinced to share this piece I completed of kleio in a human form. Humans aren't a subject I draw often, but I'll never pass up the opportunity to draw some cool fantasy horse tack!


@Melonbread - Beautiful art as always. I love their outfits and expressions - so much personality. Also i'm impressed you noticed & included the heterochromia :D
@Ucanthandleme - Intriguing lore world the elemental spirits and power alignments. That artwork is the CUTEST thing

@bezel - In regards to Fable #1000 I think a fable based on a mythical creature could be cool! Perhaps a creature that doesn't have a traditionally accepted singular design (think jabberwock, or something along those lines) so it can feel a bit more unique! But honestly I would love to see a fable inspired by any mythological creatures!
Chione is an absolute doll - I adore their design!! The almost rune-like markings in red on her front legs? 10/10! And the pixel is likewise adorable!
That piece of Kleio looks absolutely fantastic! I love how much texture is in it and the snow is done expertly!

@Melonbread - I love the lore you're working on with the ruined world! I've got similar vibes going on for my fables - such a fun concept to toy with! Huge congrats Bellamy - Perrin and Bellamy have a very fun contrast against each other in vibes and design. I love it!

@Ucanthandleme - Fun lore you have come up with as well! There's some fun opportunity for drama with those sort of societies/political set ups - I'm excited to see where it goes! Oculos and Shinzo are also both so pretty and the Oculous chibi is precious!!

I also have a bit of my own stuff to share!!
First up is my newest fable, Nothing! I'm keeping their lore that I wrote from #65 and I'm so stoked to have gotten a runner up!
They, like all other fables in my world, are a deity but one made of leftover parts with nothing as their domain. They have the ability to erase things from existence, with effort depending on how big a thing, and have taken care to erase most memories of anyone else's interactions with them so almost no one in the world is even aware of their existence.


I've also gotten a bunch of precious art of my boys O'roq and Timor!
I don't want to spam the fanclub with a bunch of big images but I will implode if I don't share this stunning piece of my god of harvest, O'roq, done by the incredibly talented melonbread! (please I am begging you click to see the full image)

So excited for Fable 100! A high effort competition would be fun! (If I find the time to enter lol) I would absolutely love a more intricate design.

Just a thought, milestone fables could have different forms/variations?

@Melonbread - love the worldbuilding of your Fables! My Fable, Cian, is on the run. I feel like he would stumble across Perrin and take the time to rest and recharge under his watch. He might also inquire if Perrin knows why his face is cursed to slowly turn skeletal at night T.T Bellamy is like a desert guide? I like it. I don't know if my Cian would wander so far. My Fable is not rude, so he should be good either way though! Waaaaaah! Humanoid art so goooood! I am foaming at the mouth! I love your choice of outfit for them both. I can tell a lot about them just from their attire. I will not rest til I also have humanoid art of my Fables. Trust I will join you.

what would you like to see for Fable #100?
I am so excited!!! Ahem. I think, a mythological inspired adopt could be cool. Complex is cool. I like how this Fable has 2 refs. You almost get a 2 for 1 character. Can we get something like that? Like so many accessories or edits that you need a "without" ref? ^^; too much? 100% make it a high-effort competition. You (and artists) have been excellent at handing out tickets or runner ups. I have all confidence that anyone who puts in real effort will be rewarded, whether or not they win #100. I would love a worldbuilding prompt xD but understand if that's not a popular choice. Whatever it is I will try my best!

I really suck at trying to keep up with things, but I’m attempting. ;v;
It’s so lovely seeing so many familiar and new faces and so incredible watching so many people get their first fable. <3

I’ve been trying to work on doing art of my characters and character dev, as I’ve always had ideas for each of them, I’ve just never formally shared or jotted down. I’m enjoying it a lot and understand why so many users do so.
It’s so awesome reading everyone’s lore and seeing what they’ve managed to do with their fables.

I did manage a quick doodle of my boy, Pollux.


A good friend of mine has inspired me to attempt my hand at making him a human reference as well, so that’s gonna be super fun. /g

@certified Pollux is one of those Fables that lives rent free in my head (it's the warm antlers against the wintercoat that is just decadent). I recognized him right away <3 What a lovely piece! I especially love the textured brush you used. And I am so hyped to see more humanoid Fables! Please share as soon as you have it!

PS. I forgot to say I love the art showcase on the front page of the fan club. Maybe my ball short story will be a contender for a slot when it's done c: Would be cool if others shared writing pieces and those could be featured too. Y'all got any Fable writing? hmm? Alrighty.

what would you like to see for Fable #100?

I am very excited for Fable #100, maybe something different and unique like a Buraq? Although Im probably the only fan of human-face cervids, after playing The Endless Forest a long while ago.

But I have to say a high-effort competition would likely drive me away from entering. The "go all-out any art is allowed" contests always intimidate me, as I am not a good artist and if art quality is taken into consideration - I am automatically out! So I personally would like a more inclusive contest to enter.

Maybe a community focused contest? Ive seen those in Galingale Striders and I have to say, I loved this kind of contest, it was very fun to participate in. <3
Its a raffle, you get 1 entry for submitting a form BUT you can earn more tickets by doing some of the following:
-Nominate 1/2 other users to give them extra entries, and you get extra entry for yourself (making friends is great)
-Gift 1/2 other users for an extra entry for yourself (spreading love is great too)
-Compliment 1/2 other users for an extra entry for yourself (spreading more love telling people how awesome they are)
-Compliment the species/tell what you like about them for an extra entry for yourself (my personal favorite because I love raving about species I like)

OR a silly art contest - one that the idea and how funny it is taken into account but not art quality. Those are SO fun too.
(Maybe include silly art as one more way to get an extra entry in the community contest, then it will be double fun with silly art, you can check this WME adopt for what silly art contests are like - the laugh is real! )

as far as adopt #100 goes, ill throw in my vote for a mythological creature. theres so many different options of creatures from folklore in so many different countries, and it would be awesome to see one as a fable! and prompt-wise, something high-effort including a prompt for writing and/or art, paves way for creativity and development

what would you like to see for Fable #100?

Wow I can't believe how quickly this milestone has come up!! This species has been so much fun to participate in and this fanclub has become a really special place to me. I agree that mythical creatures would be a really fun route to go with it! There is a mythical creature called a Simurgh which in some legends is the combination of many individual birds. An elemental fable might be cool as well, like a milestone fable themed around the seasonal nursery opening. I just want to say that this is one of the most welcoming communities I've been a part of and I think that's something to treasure and I sincerely enjoy reading everyone's posts and seeing all the art.


@Kaju wow Khuno is gorgeous! Their fur looks so soft and fluffy, and I love their tail!!

@certified Pollux is such a beautiful fable and that art is so cute! wintercoat is one of my favorite bases.

@Butter Dragon Oh my gosh congrats!!!! Nothing is stunning and I love their lore. Also that art of Timor by flyteck is absolutely adorable!!

what would you like to see for Fable #100?

As others have said I really like the mythical creature aspect, elemental, or based on the current nursery theme. All wonderful ideas!

I would be down for a more limited comp with a words limit and art limit and maybe a fun little obscure/random prompt. Or worldbuilding, i love worldbuilding. But the raffle idea/complimenting other users/ maybe making art of other Fables to win extra raffle tickets would be neat, too! Or that could be a future event idea.


I haven't really put anymore development into my fables world since my last post, but I've been busy making maps of the land with Inkarnate. I can't wait to show you all, it's the coolest thing! Would definitely recommend using it to make the landmarks of your own worlds!
