mine will be set in the southern hemisphere because i'm so damn sick of having to play in whatever season the northern hemisphere is in (i'm in australia) i was so goshdarn happy when i found out you could pick

I was a bit curious if every region was default to their seasons in past games and they were just giving us the option to choose now.

If AC actually matched my seasons it’d be spring/summer (we have a pretty short fall) all year lol. That’s why I like the northern hemisphere so much. I get to experience seasons with the rest of the US.

Ah same! We basically have summer all year round in my state, which is kinda a bummer, so I love that I get to see snow and autumn leaves and such in the game <3

^ What’s sad is if I was just a few hours north I’d at least sometimes get snow (if melted snow even counts?) such is life though. As a kid I’d be lucky to sometimes get enough ice on cars to make a soda can sized ice man lol.

I can’t wait to see what the seasonal activities are. The trailer made it seem like they added a few new things? In new leaf my favorite was building snowmen, their dialog was amusing.

Eh, sleet sucks tbh. I'd rather have real snow or none at all. I reckon I'll match up the hemisphere with mine, because I like my gameplay reflecting my real life sometimes~

I don’t think I’d actually like snow either tbh. At least as an adult, I probably would have liked it as a kid. I just wish to go on a trip somewhere for Christmas one year where it snows. I’ll probably like it for 30 or so minutes, realize snow means it’s freezing out and be done with it. I get cold when it dips below 40 f here haha (which isn’t often).


I’m content with experiencing it most years through animal crossing.

It's about time I come back to this! Hello! I've been meaning to post here but never really got the chance, so after the nh direct I figured I might as well.
I do have a Nintendo Switch and I am planning on getting new horizons! I am r e a d y
Before that though, I have had ac on someone else's gamecube that I've played for a bit, and I have played new leaf. I do have wild world, but I dont play it..

Anyway idk what else but yeah hello everyone!

Oh boy, I reeeally can’t think of just ONE favorite. As far as new villagers revealed so far it’s the cat, he looks really cool.

Heh, I just ordered a dot journal to keep solely for animal crossing. I think I’m being a bit obsessive haha. AC is really therapeutic for me and I think the journal will just add another level of zen. It’s basically just going to be for keeping a weekly to do list, special dates (birthdays, bug off, ect.), fish/bug/ect. Collection log, furniture wishlist, villager bio/log, and tracking monthly island progression through screen shots.

Do you already have your island and character name picked out? Are you theming your island after anything?

I’m pretty tempted to go with Gracidea again and continue the shaymin theme. If I go with something new maybe I’ll name it after something Star, Magic, or fairy related.

As far as my characters name idk, maybe Rosette if I go with Gracidea.
