Welcome! I love the pic of Fra Fee in your signature :) Oh and I guess Alistair too, but Fra is just so precious.

I wish I could see the live show again. It's been years since I saw it. And when I last saw it, I didn't know I needed glasses... I thought everyone's vision was that blurry. Some parts of the play I liked more than the movie, others I liked the movie more. I loved Gavroche's death scene in the play... He actually wasn't seen as the view was from the back of the barricade, but his singing was stunning, and every gunshot rang out. I can't find any actor quite like him playing Gavroche on youtube. I wish I knew who played him. I loved Grantaire and Enjolras's death scene more in the movie than in the play however... I also like the thernardier's scenes more in the movie, but that may have just been because I was half blind when I saw them in the play.. Did anyone notice that new song in the movie? I think it was called Suddenly. I thought it was neat.

Fav Characters
Jehan Prouvaire, Bishop Myriel, Jean Valjean, all of Les Amis

How you became a fan
I've loved Les Mis before I knew what it was- my mom used to sing Castle on a Cloud to me when I was little, and I've got a home video of two-year old me spinning in circles while singing it.
I was reintroduced to it about four years ago when my mom gave me the 10th anniversary CD that she'd found in the basement, if only for the song Castle on a Cloud. I fell in love with the music immediately and soon the musical as well, which I've only ever watched online, unfortunately. There's supposed to be a Canadian group preforming it soon, so I'm excited to see that when it does open.
I read the book last summer, and I became obsessed with Les Amis- aren't they wonderful? I also adore the Bishop's character- I liked how much you got to know him as a person in the book, pre his interaction with Jean Valjean.
And then I saw the movie recently, and that had me in tears for half of it, watching all my poor babies dying on screen. The book did that to me too, actually. And the CD right after I finished reading the book. The Amis deaths just... I can't even explain my sorrow regarding it :(

I'm not sure how active this fan club is or how often you guys check, but I just wanted to post a link to this new RP I found that looks to be fun once it gets members. It's Barricade/Amis-centric, mostly for OCs, but canon characters allowed too. It's mainly going to be musical based. Here's the link:

Hopefully some of you will be interested and join ^.^

If you've read the brick, you'd probably be fine. Or if you've listened to the soundtrack (I strongly reccomend the 10th anniversary- the cast is marvelous). You can get most of it just from the songs, especially if you already know the basic storyline.

Oh man though- Jehan's death had me sobbing in a corner. He is so perfect in every single way and I really wish he had more lines in the musical, but at least he's in it. Poor baby, he was so good and sweet in life, and absolutely heroic in death. Ugh, now I'm getting all sad thinking about it :(
That Amis' deaths were simply the worst things, I was so upset reading them. But Victor Higo is an amazing writer. Aweful of him, though, to make them all such unique and relatable characters, only to kill them off in such a short span.

i've read the majority of the brick and i've seen the movie several times, so i guess i should be okay in that respect then? i'm just not sure if i know enough of the personalities to roleplay them. maybe if i was grantaire or jehan?? although i'm afraid i ship e/R and jehan/courf so idk if you'd want that in your roleplay

I'm not sure if there's going to be romance or not. But Courf/Jehan is my favourite, man, you don't even understand how hard I ship them. E/R is my secondary. They're both adorable!

I'm playing an OC that I just created as well as Joly, just because I thought it might be fun to try- never RPed as him before. You should definitely be Jehan if you think you could be- I'm dying for someone who knows the brick to play him. He needs to be in the RP.
