Personality: Dark, mysterious, quiet, secretive, can be cold and hard with adults, but surprisingly is very gentle with the foals. She will tell the foals stories, watch them to make sure they don't wander off, keep them entertained, and more. The mares trust her to keep their foals safe, and often ask her to watch over them, and this is the main reason they want her to stay in the herd.
Story or history: None of the other Equidus know where she came from. One day she wasn't there, the next day she was. When they ask her where she's from, she'll glare at them and silently walk away. When they ask where she got the symbol on her hindquarters, she'll glare at them for a moment, then shake her head and ignore them. She often leaves the rest of the herd to spend time alone in the dark caves. Sometimes others will try to follow her to see what she does, but they can never find her. It seems that she can slightly see with her eyes, since she's never eaten any of the cave plants, but since her parents were both normal Equiduses(or however you say the plural of Equidus), she seems partially blind, and has the antennae. Her dark color deepens her mysterious and dark personality. The truth about her is this: When she was born, she was gray(looks white, but is actually gray. I'm a horse lover so I know about colors
), with blue eyes, points, antennae, horns, and hooves. She had no symbol on her hindquarters. Then, when she was only a few months old, her parents were killed by a beast of evil and darkness. The beast took Shadow(whose name was Lightshine then)to the cave of evil and darkness, where the beasts of evil and darkness dwell. She was raised by them, and became mysterious like them, and her color became dark and the marking grew. She became dark like them, but she never became evil. Because she never became evil, the beasts of evil and darkness tried to kill her. But she was cunning and knew their ways. She escaped, and left into the world of pale sunlight and grass. She could see, but not well, because of all the time she had spent in the cave of evil and darkness, and during that time she had never gone into or seen the outside world or the sunlight. She was partially blind, but could see well enough to find a herd of Equidus during the night, when she could see better. She didn't awake them, and the next morning they allowed her to stay with them. She tries to become more light and open, instead of dark and mysterious, but she finds it hard. She hopes that, perhaps, someday, she will be like the others, whether it means she will be completely blind or not.
