This she dragon live in a small tribal-like clan of dragons, but she was very dull. All the other dragons of her tribe/clan were bright, beautiful colors with vibrant markings. She overflowed with jealousy. One day, a creature from the race of mankind came. He saw the she dragon's distress and came to her. He whispered promises in her ear - he would make her the most beautiful. Fastest. Strongest. Smartest. Most respected. And most feared. "If only you let me change you." he said. With jealousy clouding her mind, she made the foolish decision that she would go with the man. He took her to a strange place underground, with metals and chemicals, screws and wires. He began to work, bit by bit replacing her body with machine. He removed her heart and replaced it with a mysterious battery-like crystal, strapping it forever to her chest. One day, months later, the dragon realized what had been, and was, happening to her. She watched with horror as he continued his work. Roaring with fury, she stood, then killed the man in a raging frenzy. She melted through the walls with white-hot fire, and flew up into the sky. When she returned to her tribe, they gasped with horror. Fearful, they sentenced her to banishment. If not for her mate gently speaking sense to her, she would have destroyed the tribe. Her anger replaced with bitter sadness, she walked away quietly. To this day she remains half dragon, half machine, her tail and horn still dangling the wires the man had been working on, and the crystal heart is like an unfading scar.
