PROLOGUE

"I was never a pretty cat. Never will be." a voice echoes in the dark.

Two heads look suddenly out of the dark. It's kind of startling.

"You see, I was not normal either. My mother fell in love with a cat in her dreams, so she gave birth to me with that cat." the cat continues, looking sad.

"And, thats why I look this way. Because a dream became real, I look like something bad." the cat sighs.

"Something terrible." Close up on her face.

"...A monster."

CHAPTER 1

Today, Whisperfly had a training day with her apprentice, the kit Seedkit!

"Seedkit! Come, let's train!" Whisperfly shouted.

Seedkit came sprinting out of the bushes, and sat down right in front of Whisperfly.

"I'm here, I'm here!" Seedkit said, looking scared.

"So, today's training will be learning how to fight. Fight me!" Whisperfly said, hardly noticing that Seedkit wasn't comfortable.

Seedkit jumped at Whisperfly and tried to slash her with his claws.

"I'm gonna beat you!" Seedkit giggled.

"Nope!" Whisperfly helf her breath and jumped up from the ground, letting Seedkit tumbe onto the soft, long grass.

They both howled with laughter!

Seedkit wasn't the fondest of Whisperfly, but he loved her anyways.

CHAPTER 2

"Mrrow!!" Whisperfly yawned as she woke up the next day. She got up, shaked herself and realised where she was.

She was at the Pond of Mysteries!

A soft wind swept by Whisperfly's eyes.


"H-hello?" Whisperfly quietly meowed. "Whisperfly..." a voice echoed through the pond. "...come."

Whisperfly had heard of tales like this before, of StarClan sending down a message. She knew she had to jump inside the pond, and she did.

She felt something pull her deeper, and she lost her breath.


She opened her eyes slowly a few minutes later, and she sighed.
"Mum?"

CHAPTER 3


"Mum?" Whisperfly asked.

"My child!" her mother came out of the darkness. A white, two-headed cat, with leopard spots. "I'm sorry for everything you got put through. I made up that story of your dream father just so no one would know that I looked like this."

"But, how?! They said you were just a white cat." Whisperfly's eyes filled with tears.

"A cat from StarClan told me to come to this pond, and she said a spell that would only work until I died.. I'm so sorry, my trait passed down to you!" her mother cried.

"It's okay!" Whisperfly ran to her mum and sat down. "But you're d-dead?" Her mother nodded sadly.

"Please, go and find a better clan, and live your life happily. I will guide you through everything, sending you as many messages as possible! But even if StarClan wont let me, please. Remember that I'm always watching over you, and that I love you and I'm proud of you." her mother nuzzled Whisperfly.

Whisperfly nodded and licked her mum.

"Goodbye!" they both meowed.

EPILOGUE

I travelled for days, after that. Looking at mountains, finding my own prey.. I felt free!

One day, a month later, I found a big mountain.


I got up, and some cats greeted me! They asked me if I wanted to be in their clan. I said yes!

I went to the leader and she said that I was the most special cat she'd ever seen.


She meant it as a compliment. This was home! This was it!

And that is my story.
