My process here was a bit roundabout I'll admit.
First I did the custom lines, then I edited and colored the V2 base, THEN I colored my customs lines.
Conclusion: I draw bogs very lanky and need to either shorten them or only do transfers of them onto V1.
Anyway here's what this bog looks like on base:
