Ah, took a few days to see but !!!
I'm really loving these ideas? Especially the armour? I hadn't thought about that at all but it really suits the idea while also (probably) being easier than the level of scales there XD
I might say switch up the helmet style so that both horns can be seen but I do seriously love that idea of a helmet!! I'd never have thought of that and that sounds really cool?
I was going to suggest making sure the scales are mostly just on the back for reasons of "not going insane while drawing them" and it looks like you independently were thinking that too, so that's good to see works for you too! Like a little onto the tail could also work but restricted onto the back I think is probably easier while still very much having the idea present?
I'm loving how you've got the seaweed? I know you'll need to neaten up the lines for the art style and such, but I love the sort of... half-chaotic energy there while still keeping it overall looking ordered?
I know something I was meaning in the little wormy friend, is that there's a contrast in tone between the claws and the feet, and definitely feel free to play around with which colours you use for which and so on, just clarifying what the little stripes were intended to mean!
Can you tell I'm excited?

!! He's gorgeous?
Don't worry about not getting to include everything! I normally have a ton of ideas and play out with actually work so sometimes I suggest things with that in mind? And what you've used works really well and he's really pretty!
Thank you so much!!
