Ellis grew up inside the forest, by herself. She isn’t quite sure where she came from- she solely recalls waking up in a bed of leaves, with glowing green sprouts growing underneath her paws. She soon fell in love with her forest, and became a forest guardian of sorts. She lives in a treehouse she built herself, using fallen trees after a storm (she would never harm the ancient trees herself), and has lived there as long as she can remember, taking in lost hikers and travelers who often get stuck wandering in her woods. Ellis gives them hot acorn tea and vegan pastries, and berries, and a place to rest, before helping them find their way home. Ellis absolutely adores nature, whether it’s animals or plants, and will guard them with her life, including scaring off tree cutters. She is extremely shy, and tends to prefer wildlife over other kalons, but will tolerate kalons and be extremely loving towards them. She’s extremely shy, and may only say a few words to those strangers she helps in the woods. Often, her paws tremble when she speaks, because she’s simply so introverted. Ellis especially loves deer, and will sometimes follow along with their herds, simply in love with the creatures. Ellis is able to grow plants using magic, and often a trail of flourishing plants follows in her wake, as it’s hard for her to reign in her powers. This is one of the reasons she rarely visits society. She only ventures out to big cities for libraries, as she loves to read, and for necessities, like matches and blankets, and other things of the like. Ellis absolutely loves to visit libraries, and reading is one of her favorite pastimes, along with writing in her journals. She finds pleasure in writing both poetry and fairytales, which she believes are quite well written. Ellis also loves little trinkets, which she finds left behind in the forest, like medals or charms. She has a stash of them under her bed, which she often looks at or simply plays around with, when she grows bored of being in the forest alone.Ellis gets stressed very easily as well, and when placed in scary situations, will often have a bit of a break down. She gets overwhelmed and flustered rather quickly, and may need help calming down. Because Ellis is also such a kind, loving kalon, she gets very hurt when others aren’t kind to her, and is just extremely sensitive in general (such a soft bb). However, she’s quick to trust and forgive, and sees the good in others, so even those who hurt her, will always have a place in her heart (which can be very bad for her!) Too often, Ellis trusts those who she shouldn’t, and is taken advantage of. However, many kalons admire her good heart, and it has earned her many a friend over the years, even if she takes a while to warm up to them and actually begin speaking. Ellis is overall a lovely kalon to be around, and so many kalons love her for who she is, despite only knowing her for a few hours. She often never sees the travelers she helps ever again, but she loves to help others, and her forest.
