ok, so I tried my best to include all aspects of the "what to include" section of the post. I didn't include a name for the species, mainly because I'm not very creative and unique when it comes to naming things.
I do have some things I have thought up about the species though for some background.

Appearance:
-large, prominent bat-like ears --> they have sensitive hearing, use this to their advantage to catch small rodents buried under the snow
-front feet are canine, back are cloven hooves similar to that of a deer/unicorn (very upright and small compared to something like a cows)
-tail similar to a cows, although the switch/hair at the end is much more luxuriant, glossy and longer
-thick, silky coat used to keep warm in habitat
-dark eyes with cat-like pupils
-large beak, used to pierce prey and tear into meat
-coat colour: normally cool colours, the more violet/purple the coat the ranked the member of the pack/group is

Habitat and Bio:
This particular species lives in colder areas of the earth. They have a thick coat and dense feet to protect them from the cold and storms. They make dens out of snow and abandoned caverns.
The offspring are laid as large eggs with a freckled pattern normally taking after the traits of the mother. (I apologize for not including that in the entry) The mother makes a nest out of feathers, fur and grasses.
