Entry Four

Postby HowlingHooves » Mon Oct 16, 2017 4:22 pm

    Bright Red Dun Tobiano +Flare
    ee || aa || Dd || Toto || bb || Flfl

    My entry with the possible added gene, which I'm calling Flare.
    I was fooling around with the bright gene and then had the idea of a lantern, but I didn't want to make anything Halloween related. Instead I came up with this, areas along the mid-line that are brightened further.

    To brighten, I use the Dodge tool with the settings untouched save for brush size.

    To Flare:
    Opacity 120-150 (I personally had it set at 132; it may need to be higher/lower for darker base coats + higher/lower for lighter coats.)
    Color 100%

    It only effects the caudal aspect of the hindquarters, genitals, belly, chest, throat and the length of the face.
    I was thinking it would only be seen on those horses with the Bright gene, but that is entirely up to you, Starz. c:
    she looks like a sunset i love her

I love this idea. Sort of like a mutation of bright. (On that note, bright in genetics shows as recessive dominant only, so bb)

Im definately adding flare to the gene list :)
