steam's viscet ga entry #1 // dark cyber

Postby steamplonk » Tue Jul 18, 2017 5:16 pm

this viscet is fake! they are not up for adoption, sorry!

    //slides on in// (png)
sorry if this one looks rushed! i just wanted to squeeze
in an entry before i went to sleep :,0
i see a lot of natural and organic designs in viscets so i
thought, why not make the opposite of natural?
    which is, of course, technology.
so have this... matrix-y thing? i'm honestly not too sure
if i like the finished product or not, but i guess it could
be worse. they're common, cause i like having a sort of
~blank canvas~ to paint on, rather than it just having a
lot of edits, y'know? keepin it simple.
critique and comments are very much wanted!! please,
share your opinion with me! no matter how harsh it may
seem, i promise you i can handle it.

I like the idea of the square and non-organic markings, as well as the color palette as it has a good contrast between the green and brown...that shows you have a good understanding of colors and thats a huge thing for adoptables so you dont make something that is painfull for the eyes of other users like really bright or crashing colors lol.

One thing I would suggest to make your designs more interesting is the use of gradients...they come really handy to light up any design and keep it simple at the same time :) you can integrate them in the markings or on the body itself. If you are trying out for artist or GA I would suggest also trying to do some complex designs, try to show what your own design style is: what colors you use,the markings you can make...what your design signature is you know? So people will recognize your designs because of these little things. You can still make a simple design by adding little things to the markings that will make it show more :)

So far its a great design, keep up the good work!

oh, thank you so much! i really appreciate the
    feedback, it's extremely helpful <3
i do love putting in quite a bit of subtle watercolor
tool, but it tends to be a bit... too subtle, and it's
difficult to see, i need to work on it a little >~<
and i'm glad to hear you like my color choices! it's
the one thing i'd say i'm pretty decent at ;3c

you do bring up a really great point with the
idea of a design "signature," something trademark
to me. i'm still struggling to come up with my own,
and i'm hoping to find one while working on these
    entries :,0

again, thanks so much for the feedback!! it's a
    ton of help!
