This is Leafpool from Warriors written by Erin Hunter. Cinderpelt ends up dieing from a badger attack (Cinderpelt was the medicine cat) while leafpool is gone. Medicine cats arent supposed to fall in love but Leafpool does. She falls in love with Crowfeather. She gets very,very,very,very,very sad when Cinderpelt dies. All the good cats die.
