Well, to be honest, that’s a self proclaimed title. A designation I gave myself in secret to override names like nerd and freak, what most call me because I love chemistry; which, for your information, also includes ‘cool things’ like colored fire and exploding things, ahem. So yeah, I’m a weirdo, and sure, I’m insecure about it, but I choose to embrace it in my own way. Because you know what? Nerds and geeks and freaks like me are the ones that rule the world--quietly, behind the scenes, in our own little weirdo ways.
Chemistry, science, and math had always given me an outlet for my problems. Chemistry provided a challenging but rewarding hobby that I could always rely on; Science gave me a better understanding of the world around me, and the universe beyond it; Math calmed me down with it’s certainty in solutions. Certainty is a key foundation in my being, despite my willingness to experiment. I want to know exactly what is going to happen at all times, any possible outcomes, and all definitive solutions. The unpredictability of the social aspect life has left me cautious and insecure. What scares me the most is the uncertainty of my own being, but I suppose that comes with growing up. I don’t quite know who I am yet, who I want to become, but I know I want to make an impact.
